This diaper leaks every time I put it on our daughter!
A&A
The umbilical cord snap down feature was great for the first few weeks (we still snap it down even though her cord has fallen off!).

It was small enough to fit my son right home from the hospital at 7 1/2 pounds and it still fits him at 10 pounds.

I love this diaper! The umbilical cord snap down feature was great for the first few weeks (we still snap it down even though her cord has fallen off!). I love that this diaper looks like it will fit for a long time.

The only bummer is that there's no pocket to add absorption. I worry that once my LO is older (but still tiny), she'll soak through this. But for now, this is the ONLY diaper that fits her! She's 4 weeks old, and still in Newborn disposables. No other cloth diaper has fit her yet, but this one does -- beautifully!

I was really excited to use these diapers. I put them on my baby registry and was thrilled to see that someone had bought them for me. Once we were home from the hospital, I immediately put my little girl into a beautiful blue diaper! It was adorable. However, I think we may not have dried them long enough after the first few wash/dry cycles to prep them because out LO broke out in a yeast infection after about 3 days of wearing. This, of course, caused us to have to strip and "de-yeast" our brand new diapers. (no fault of the diapers themselves, just frustrating!) Anyway, after that challenge, we were happily using the diapers for about 3 weeks. Then, we noticed that our LO started to soak through the diapers at night. She would wake up for middle of the night feedings and have to be completely changed because her clothes were soaked! I was surprised that a 4 week old could soak through the diaper, but it happened nearly every night until we started using our hemp wipes as "inserts." That solved the problem for a few days, but it wasn't a long-term fix. Around week 5 we decided to give our pocket diapers (initially too big to fit) a try. And thankfully they fit. We've switched to the pocket diapers and are much happier with the result.

Bottom line: The sizing is great for newborns. The snap down for the cord is a great idea. We found the absorbency to be an issue for our little one around 4 weeks old. She could have fit into these diapers for another 4 weeks, but there is no way we could have contained her pee for that much longer without a doubler or some other soaker insert!

These diapers are not worth $15/diaper for the length of time that they are usable. I don't recommend these diapers. I wish we would have saved our money and just used prefolds and inexpensive newborn covers for this stage. (or even, dare I say, disposables!!) :)

We absolutely love this option, having a diaper that snaps below the umbilical cord. We've dont the 3x pre-wash and it got even softer than when it arrived, it's just the softest thing ever. PLUS, it has a built-in think potty area, so if baby can't quite accomodate a cloth liner, you don't even need one!

I was so excited to receive these diapers for the baby I'm expecting in a few weeks, but unfortunately I've decided to return them. One of the reasons I use cloth diapers is because of the comfort factor for my children. I'm so disappointed the backs of the snaps penetrate all of the layers of material and are touching the baby's skin. I have several brands of cloth diapers for my older son, and this is the only diaper I've ever seen like this. All of the others only have the snaps going through the PUL layer. These go through the PUL, the absorbent core, and the lining layer that touches the baby. I just don't think that would be comfortable, especially for a little boy (which is what I'm expecting). I think they probably do this to make the snaps less likely to pull through the fabric, but I think it's too big of a comfort sacrafice. It would have been just as easy to reinforce the snaps behind the PUL layer with a non-visible layer of fabric (like my Knickernappies), or use a thicker PUL. Or go ahead and have the snaps penetrate all the way through the absorbent layers, but stop underneath the material that touches baby. I've seen complaints by people about WAHM or small name diapers that had this thoughtless problem, but never about a brand name like Kissaluv's. I'm just going to go buy some newborn BG's. At least I know they will be reliable and designed thoughtfully.

I ordered a few different cloth diaper options to try out before deciding which to go with for my first baby. At first, this one was my favorite.
- The snap down front fit nicely on my 7 pound newborn. (We used disposable diapers that were gifts when baby was first born and was 6 lbs, 7 oz - so I am not sure of the fit on that size infant)
- Love that it is all-in-one; my husband (whom really appreciates efficiency and has little patience for "complicated" diapers) was happy to put this one on our baby
-Not overly bulky
- Diaper only leaked once due to my error - I forgot to fold the top down for a tighter fit
As baby has been growing, I have noticed that the fleece inside is not holding up as well as I would like in the wash. Unfortunately, I am not sure that this diaper will still be usable if we have a second child. Baby is 2 months now and the diaper is still in our rotation and still working but here are some additional thoughts:
- Wish there were more snaps or that the diaper were velcro. There are times when baby is in between snaps and I am not a fan of tight elastic so I just wait a couple days and she usually is on the next snap by then - not a huge deal because of the ability to fold the front down; doing this helps with in-between sizes a lot so we never have to go long with an in-between snaps problem.
- I love the Kissas cotton fleece inserts that we have and I just wish that this diaper had that kind of fleece as well. Again, the fleece in this diaper is slowly wearing off with use. (I do not use a harsh detergent either, I make my own laundry detergent that is made up of 5 oz unscented castile soap bar melted in water, 1 cup washing soda, 3/4 cup borax, and 5 gallons water. Combine ingredients, mix well. Let mixture sit 24 hours before use. Stir each time before use & use about 1/3 cup per load.)
- The elastic is still going strong and not too tight
- This diaper dries relatively quickly and is absorbent
