Book Description

December 16, 2008 Kissed By An Angel

A love beyond life...a danger beyond doubt.

In a romantic and suspenseful collection of the New York Times bestselling trilogy, love's unbreakable bonds are put to the test.

When her boyfriend, Tristan, died, Ivy thought she'd lost everything, even her faith in angels. But now she's discovered that he's her guardian angel -- his presence so strong that she can feel the touch of his hand, the beat of his heart. Ivy needs Tristan now more than ever because he knows she's in terrible danger. Only Ivy's guardian angel can save her now that his killer is after her.

But if Tristan rescues Ivy, his mission on earth will be finished, and he must leave her behind forever. Will saving Ivy mean losing her just when he's finally reached her again?

Format:Paperback|Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
Kissed By An Angel is a GREAT read for any fans of romance and mystery. I wasn't aware that this THICK, almost daunting novel was actually three books put into one volume until I got it and read the small notation at the bottom of the book. It was scary at first, but then I realized the font was fairly large and that seemed to take the edge off the disheartening thickness of this book. You could seriously throw it at someone and injure them....BADLY!
Book size aside, Kissed By Angel was an EXTREMELY easy and absorbing book to read. It's one of those books that is SO hard to put down that you wind up reading late at night even while you are struggling to keep your eyes open!

The book centers on Ivy. She has just moved into town with her mother and 8 year old brother, Phillip after her mother becomes engaged to one of the town's wealthiest and most noteable patrons. Ivy soon finds herself living in a giant home with her new family, which includes her privileged new-stepbrother, Gregory. Ivy is a somewhat spiritual character, with a strong belief system pitted on guardian angels watching over her and the ones she loves. She has a collection of Angel statues in her room, with the two most special of them being her Water Angel, and another angel she calls Tony. At times, Ivy's "angel comments" were a little weird and that would be my biggest fault with the book and ultimately the reason why I denoted one star off my review rating. I just have a hard time picturing a NORMAL teenage girl thinking things like, "WATER ANGEL, PLEASE HELP ME!" which made it a little too melodramatic and weird at times. But, once you get past that specific little quirk of our main-character, everything is smooth sailing!

4.0 out of 5 stars Dangerously Good! March 25, 2009
Format:Paperback
Artistically composed to keep you in suspense page after page. Very clever to have all three books in one; this made it so convenient to not miss a scene. I tensed up everytime the angel Tristan tried to manifest his presence....as if he needed my help! This book is about love, deceit, greed, jealousy, choices, betrayal, danger, action, and so much more! It leaves you aching throughout and then towards the end, satisfaction!!!

Format:Paperback|Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
Originally published separately over a decade ago, this trilogy is being re-released in one complete book and what a book it is. The three books are KISSED BY AN ANGEL, THE POWER OF LOVE, SOULMATES.

In KISSED BY AN ANGEL, the very opening of the book covers the accident which Tristan dies. It also says this on the back cover, so it's no secret. It's right after that the author goes back and begins the story with Ivy meeting Tristan. It's the typical first love story. I was surprised out how many characters are introduced and not once did I have difficulty keeping them straight. When this first book ends, it's way too abrupt. If I had not had the second book, I would have been steam rolling mad. I mean, there is no ending. It cuts off.

THE POWER OF LOVE is where Tristan tries to reconnect with Ivy. Because of her loss, she no longer believes in angels. Why should she? They didn't protect her true love. Tristan is now an angel with a mission. He's not alone though. He has an angel helping him too, but this angel isn't exactly angelic.

He becomes aware that the accident was no accident at all. The only problem is who was the target? This love story quickly turns into a mystery, full of suspense. At the end of this book, the reader is again left hanging. Is Ivy going to live or die?

In SOULMATES, we discover she is in fact going to live, but everyone, including Ivy thinks she tried to commit suicide by walking in front of a moving train. As far as the world is concerned, her younger brother saved her. He did, but with the help of Tristan.

She will finally open her heart enough to believe once again in angels, thus connecting again with Tristan. In this book, not all the characters will walk away. So will and some will die.

3.0 out of 5 stars endearing ...and had a nice ending. March 18, 2009
Format:Paperback|Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
Kissed by an angel was an endearing trilogy aimed for a young teen audience that gives a nice twist on the common stories of first love. As Ivy loses her beloved Tristan in the first pages, you can immediately feel for her. The reader is then taken back to the beginning with their first meeting and through past his death when he discovers it was no accident that his car crashed. He then has to find a way to tell her she is in danger and protect her. Over all, I thought it was well done with a nice ending.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heartwarming........... March 13, 2009
By Moon
Format:Paperback
Ivy's life is changing. her mother re-married, she has a new step-brother in a new house, and her collection of angels can only take care of so much. Then she meets, sweet and romantic Tristan. Who not only helps her get over her fear of water, by teaching her how to swim but they fall in love. One day Tristan and Ivy get into a car accident that kills Tristan and leaves Ivy not believeing in angels at all.
What she didnt expect was for Tristan to come back as an angel, for his unfinished business. He figured out that the car accident wasnt so much an accident and he wasn't the target to begin with. Ivy's in danger.
Only problem is Ivy doesnt believe anymore so she cant see him. Her brother Phillip can. Who would believe an 8 year old?
With the help of Lacey, a fellow angel with unfinished business of her own, and Phillip Tristan will not only have to save Ivy from getting killed but he will also need to let go of her when the times comes.

i loved the book, most of the time anyway. sometimes i really wanted to slap people in it. lol
i didn't enjoy the ending so much but hey to each their own right.
But it was a beautiful story about everlasting love. who says love ends when we die?

Why is it republished? Is Ms. Chandler coming back?
Alright color me confused because I see that she has new releases out this year, and the last few years. It was from a UK booksite but none the less it was new in 2009. On to the other question, uh well publishers are like that. They love money, and often they do re-release books to score on... Read more
