Leaping from the ceiling
diving straight into your eyes
where I search for affirmation
for the love behind the sighs
In a world of broken promise
Im still dancing with a few
I can see inside your shadows
that you feel the same way too
theres a hundred old time movies
where the hero saves the day
and the sweet and sexy maiden
hopes hell never go away
Im no blazing six-gun shooter
making all your dreams come true
but Id take on any army
just to bring you one or two
touch me softly in the darkness
trace your fingers on my face
feel me press against your body
Ive been searching for this place
wrap me tightly with desire
in a blanket made of you
theres no clearer view of heaven
when you love me like you do
how you melt my heart by saying
that you feel the same way too...

Long Lasting Kisses,
By Lorelai Marisol (Chicago,IL USA-longing for Italy) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Kisses in the Wind (Paperback)
Jim Morton's book Kisses in the Wind is a favorite on my shelf. Pages are dog eared, the cover is crinkled, the words are imprinted upon my mind. The title poem, although stellar, is only a slight taste of what one receives as they travel through this land paved with rose petals, the scent of perfume upon the air. In "Stunning", Morton gives his readers a poignant, sexy look at the power one word (and in his case, one woman) has to capture the mind. In "Sunday Morning", the poem builds with the reader as anticipation grows, making your own mouth go dry, your heart beat fast, and your thoughts come at a rapid rate as you wait for the final release of your lover's arms. Kisses in the Wind is a book you will return to over and over- with lovers, with friends, with family, and in your solitary time, to contemplate love's simple truths and complex lessons. Morton's words are perfectly placed, beautifully metered, and sensually arranged, like music. His words definitely do not fade "into the wind".

Feelings!,
By elmor@aol.com (Stuart, FL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Kisses in the Wind (Paperback)
This second book of Jim Morton's is every bit as good as his first. I recommend it to everyone, as I am sure it will be enjoyed by the readers as much as it was enjoyed by me. It is a book about love, family, friends and life. It gave me that "feel good" feeling, just to read it. Jim has talent for putting his feelings on paper and I wish him many more successful books in his future.
