Editorial Reviews

5-CD LP-sized Box-Set with 32-page full color illustrate booklet. Picking up where our highly acclaimed White Sox, Pink Lipstick and Stupid Cupid left off in 1959, this set takes Connie's career up to the Spring of 1962, and includes all of her English language recordings from those years. Few singers from that era covered so many bases so convincingly. She did classic 1920s and 1930s pop, country songs, cabaret, and rock 'n' roll. The chart placings speak for themselves. Among the Connie Francis Hall of Fame recordings on this set are Everybody's Somebody's Fool, My Heart Has A Mind Of Its Own, Where The Boys Are, and Don't Break The Heart That Loves You. We've also included the rare Australian Award Winning Motion Picture Hits LP in Stereo.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Connie Collection!, March 10, 2001
By
Connie Francis recorded voluminously in the 1960's, and this 5-disc set covers the years of 1960-1962. As well as all the hits from this time there are some great "forgotten" treasures, alternate takes, and false starts. Connie's tremendous vocal talent shines through in every song, and she certainly ranks with some of her comtemporaries (Judy Garland and Patsy Cline) as one of the great musical interpreters of our time. This is an investment you wont regret!

This wonderful 5 CD Box Set from Bear Family collects all of Connie's early 1960's recordings. All of her hit singles are here as are her wonderful albums. Connie's voice is like no others! She sends chills down your spine when singing such songs as "A Little Bit of Heaven" from her outstanding "Irish Favorites" This set is an absolut MUST HAVE for every true Connie Francis fan.

This collection of songs on 5CD's is a superb collector's item. All the songs are selections from each of Connie's albums. I enjoy all of Connie Francis' music since she is truly the Queen of Song.
