I enjoy assembling craft kits and loved that this had motion.
The pieces are well made and the kit came together fairly easily. It is smaller than I thought but if you look at the product dimensions, they are accurate.
There were two small issues in the directions that were unclear in placing the initial seat top and sides. The issue with the sides turned out not to be a problem, however, the directions for the top of the bench do not show the placement of the holes underneath. This became a problem later on in how the figures faced each other. I had to switch the female at the last minute so that the product moved correctly.
Other than that, things were clear and fairly easy. I am an adult but a child under 10 will probably need supervision. Once the pieces are glued and dry, it is almost impossible to break the connection without breaking the wood.
Assembly took about 30-45 minutes, not including drying time.
My children love making the couple kiss and friends have enjoyed it as a short conversation piece.
