Book Description

December 11, 2009
In today's age of virtual hook-ups and online encounters, it is no surprise that there are thousands of web sites devoted to Internet dating. Told in a series of vignettes, Kissing Frogs in Cyberspace, Dianne Sweeney's revealing account of dating in the 21st century takes you on a hilarious, often poignant journey of online dates, dumps, and disasters. As she discovers the world of Internet dating is blessed by those seeking true love and plagued by those just seeking. Kissing Frogs in Cyberspace uncovers the reality of online dating--its pleasures, its horrors, and all the quirky stuff in between.

Editorial Reviews

Review

I just finished Kissing Frogs in Cyberspace. It was fantastically funny, disarmingly honest and so relevant to today's dating world. It was a fresh take on singles trying to find Mr. Perfect in a sea of frogs. I will definitely be recommending it to my friends. A perfect stocking stuffer for my single friends and married friends. --Marina Chappie

The side of online dating they don't show you in the T.V. commercials...priceless! --Faye Krueger

An eye-opening and often hilarious expose on the online dating scene from the perspective of our intrepid reporter Dianne Sweeney --Susana DePrada

About the Author

5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING book!!! December 16, 2009
By Vanessa
Format:Paperback
This is a honest, funny, witty, and charmingly written book!! It's one that you will not want to put down! In addition to the authors commentary and perspective of things, it includes the emails and instant messages that were sent back and forth from the author and her potential "princes". I found myself laughing out loud for much of the book. Don't miss out on this one!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing.... February 19, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I've never written a review before, but in this case, I feel compelled to. When 95% of the reviews are positive, I expect to read a pretty decent book. What I read was a boring piece of garbage. I kept reading with the hopes that the book would get better... but no, it was painfully boring from start to finish. None of the characters (including the main character) were developed at ALL, and I never felt invested in any of them. And for it being "hilarious"? Umm, I don't see it... it didn't make me laugh once. I CANNOT believe how bad this book is, and how many positive reviews it has. In the Kindle store, reviews are a big indicator of whether I am going to buy a book or not, and I am absolutely shocked that this book has FIFTY 5 star reviews. I'm guessing it's because this author has 50 friends who didn't actually read the book. Maybe Dianne Sweeney's other books are better (I really hope so), but I suggest you don't waste your time or money on this one.
