I thought this was a cute book. The characters, although not terribly deep, are good and fun. You can't get too complicated in shorter books, so I thought it was good for it's length. I thought that Kelli and Bobby Gray interacted well with each other. They are adorable together and are a good match for the other. Though their falling in love is kinda quick, it's very sweet. The lengths Bobby Gray is willing to go is really kind of silly, but it's still romantic. There are some very fun playing with words the author uses to manipulate the story and add wit. Overall, good book and I'd recommend it.

What people will do for their family! Kelli is trying not to get caught up in a delicious hunk of a man because her sister, Lori, saw him first. What ensues is then denial that creates a great amount of tension. I'm a romance junkie and I live for that tension!

My first Kathy Carmichael book, I had sat down with the intentions of just reading the first chapter or two and ended up not able to put it down until I had read the entire book. I really liked it. I thought it was well written and the story was just great. Sometimes I thought the issue with Lori seemed to come out of left field, but in the end it worked out.

This was funny, sweet and romantic. What girl doesn't dream of being swept off her feet despite how much she's trying to resist temptation? Even if that temptation comes in the form of a studly cowboy.

Since I have a kindle, and no money, I spend a lot of time downloading the free books that show up from time to time. Kissing Kelli by Kathy Carmichael is one of those. Unfortunately this wasn't one of the better written ones. The basic plot of the story is that this cowboy, Bobby Gray, decides to skip out of town for a few days to escape from his angry brother and ends up at a party for an ex fling. Once there he meets her sister Kelli and for the rest of the book relentlessly pursues her.

I usually enjoy romantic fluff such as this but with this story I had to try too hard. At one moment Bobby Gray is brainless and his thought process makes no sense; the very next minute he does something intelligent. Meanwhile, the heroine of the story, Kelli, is doing everything she can to thwart Bobby Gray and his amorous advances. What didn't make sense for me is that she falls in love with him when the majority of the time she's hanging up on him or kicking him out of her office.

The "conflict" of the story is that Kelli's mother is a princess (how on earth this happens I do not know) and for the majority of her life men have used Kelli to get to her famous parents. Bobby Gray somehow finds out about her lineage and decides he's going to take her to dinner with his banker who loves royalty figuring he'll score points with his brother. The dinner happens and the banker turns out to be an ex stalker boyfriend of Kelli's. She freaks out and the rest of the book is Bobby Gray attempting to win her back.

In the end I was disappointed with this book. It had the makings for a great story but the immaturity of the characters and their lack of development get in the way of that. I'm just glad that its for free and I didn't spend money on it.

Eh. Didn't really care for this one. It had great promise. I am an animal lover and avid horse rider, so what better then a romance with a vet and a ranch owner/stud farm cowboy. Well, the romance never really developed to anything believable. They practically were in love and soulmates after a very odd and brief encounter in a kitchen interrupted by an annoying jealous sister.

Anywho - I read the whole thing in a few hours, skimming over some areas.

This would be a plot I would dream up about romance and falling in love when I was in Junior High.

What a waist of time. I got so tired of reading Bobby Gray this Bobby Gray that.... Absolutely tiresome and boring.
Romantic Comedy???? I didn't laugh once!!! Couldnt feel the romance, didnt believe the story at all, no spark what so ever.
TG this was free... I would not recommend this one if your looking for a fun romantic story (get "Wicked Games" also free),this one reads more like a high school play, if that......

Ok well I chose the book because it was free for the kindle and let me tell you, had it been a penny more, I'd have paid too much. While the characters have no real substance, the writing level is a third grade level, making it easier to understand why the characters lack any depth. If you just want to read then go for it, but honestly I feel compelled to read Aristotle after this to regain my brain cells. The dialogue is painful, as are the descriptions of the characters feelings. If any man or woman felt the way Bobby Gray and Kelli do they'd have friends who keep them around solely for entertainment value at their idiocy. Save yourself some time and read something with a little more thought put into it.

The author, in my opinion, was way too detailed. So much that I found myself just skimming the pages instead of reading the thoughts of the characters or the detail that was unnecessary. Even with skimming through I still didn't miss much and was relieved to finish the book. Cute story, but I personally don't need to know every thought of the characters.
