3.0 out of 5 stars Works Well But..., August 25, 2008

This review is from: Kitchen Aid KPCGTF Gold-Plated Filter
This filter does work well, but the "gold tone" came off, or more precisely eaten off by the coffee grounds in less than 5 months. You can see exactly how far up the grounds go in the filter. It still works well, but I'm somewhat disappointed.

2.0 out of 5 stars ehh. Not so much, January 27, 2009

my boss bought this for our office for all the best reasons. While it is better for the earth then using the paper filters, it doesn't filter as well. 1/4 of the pot is undrinkable because of all the thick-ish coffee slush that this filter lets in. I give it two stars only because it's a good idea but not executed well.Put your hart at rest, the paper filters are not that bad (they become dirt in a week) and with this filter you waste money on the 1/4 pot of coffee you'll throw out, water, electricity, the coffee beans, and your time. if you have picky coffee drinkers, they are going to complain.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must for the KitchenAid Pro Line Coffee Maker, June 19, 2008

If, like me, you prefer using a permanent rather than paper filters in your coffee maker, don't be put off by the higher price of this over other gold-tone filters. This one is much larger than a standard permanent filter and fits the Pro Line Coffee Maker like a glove. KitchenAid KPCM050NP Pro Line Single-Carafe Coffeemaker, Nickel Pearl
