I bought this with the intended use of making burgers that fit in hot dog rolls. I found it's also useful when making Italian sausage to form it without the use of casings! So easy to use and fun for kids & adults alike!

5.0 out of 5 stars For when you want to be different!, June 25, 2011

I found this to be very easy to use. The instructions are right on the back of the package! I had my husband put half of the (half burger and half sausage mixed together) on the bottom as I put the fillings on and then had him put the rest of the burger mixture on top. It just make it easier and less messy this way with two people to help. Oh and I used plastic wrap and that was a breeze because the burger mixture didn't stick that way. This is nice when you have company and are firing up the grill to cook hotdogs and burgers and you can just buy one type of bun for all.

It's also nice because you know what's going into it without all of the persevatives. Plus you can put your favorite ingredients inside such as mushrooms, green peppers, various cheeses, hot peppers, etc...

This looked kind of gimmicky , but the reviews by the other customers moved me to try it. One of the reviews aid they used plastic wrap. I had some waxed burger paper sheets, so I thought I'd try them. I put the paper in the bottom, and added the hamburg, Then I pressed the meat, and after removing the rolled meat just rolled the paper around the rest of the meat, and put them in the freezer on a tray. When they were frozen I then put them in a freezer bag, for later use. Try it, it's a nifty little item, and it does a great job.
