Poor Quality Blender,

The "Nutone" blender, now made by a third party, is not a quality item. We have had the power unit installed in our kitchen counter for several years, but only occasionally used the blender. For the past two months, it has been used daily as we changed our diet to have fruit smoothies for breakfast. The seals around the shaft of the blade are worn out and it leaks into the power unit whenever we use it. Also, the power unit's gears are failing: they grind terribly. It is going to be replaced with a restaurant-quality blender that costs a lot more.
