i thought the metal dish drying rack was exactly what i wanted to match the other stainless steel appliances and products in our kitchen, but i regret it now and wish i had just gotten a plastic one. the water makes a mess of stains and gross discolorations on the metal tray under the rack so it looks dirty and unsanitary all the time now. this is also not the type of rack that you can keep at the edge of the sink because there is no tilt to the tray or drainage holes for the water to escape--it's just supposed to evaporates. the product comes with a movable container you can stand your silverware up in, but because there are holes in the bottom of this part you have to keep it inside the rack, so it takes up precious space you could otherwise reserve for glasses, etc. so, i don't even use it, i just lay my silverware and utensils on towels to dry. the third thing that really bugs me is that the bottom of the basket is not flat, so it makes it hard to stand glasses, coffee mugs, bowls, etc up, and tall things such as glasses fall over when you load and unload the drying rack. i haven't broken any yet, but i can't comprehend why it was designed that way. i will say that the actual dish slots are great--my cutting boards and plates are served very well by the rack, if you can get over the icky mess the dripping water makes on the tray. if you're going for pure looks, this product is great. but the practicality is not good, and the first time i used it made it appear old and rusty, even though it isn't.

Welll built, looks good... Looks great in modern interiors. Needs to be cleaned regularly because of the metal base, you run the risk of rust if you let water sit in it too long.

It is exactly what I expected. After looking at several drains, I chose this one and I am extremely pleased with it. I simply wash and dry the tray as it collects water from the dishes...so no problem with rusting. Not only does it function well, it looks great! I am very happy with my purchase.

It's a bit on the big side if you have limited counter space but it holds a lot, looks nice, and is easy to clean.
