Heloise Rocks! Great Value,
By A Customer
This review is from: In the Kitchen with Heloise (Hardcover)
this book is wonderful. I love the recipes, but it's also the hints about cleaning up and getting things done fast that have really helped me. The good info on food buying and storing will really help me save money. My kids like the quick fun food hints and I love the way she shares info. She's your friend, and I can understand the hints she is telling us. Plus, I laugh at some of them too. I am giving this to all my friends for Christmas. It's just the best and what a bargin.

Heloise Does It Again!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: In the Kitchen with Heloise (Hardcover)
Just like her other books, Heloise gives great and easy-to-mimic solutions to everyday problems/occurances. She tackles it all! For example, she gives an honest health-related reason why you should not seperate an egg using its shell, then gives you a new way of doing it (using a slotted spoon). That is just one of the many, many hints that she gives and I have tried and now pass on to others to use! In short: great book, can't say enough good things about it.

I bought this book because I tweet kitchen and cooking tips @cynthiacooks using #CBKitTip and this has been a great resource for me. Although I don't use the tips straight from the book, it stimulates a forgotten tip or I can use Heloise's tip and then elaborate using my own specific knowledge. Along the way I learn a lot too! The books is somewhat outdated (first printing 11 years ago) and that's why I gave it only 4 stars, but that could also be why the price was exceedingly reasonable. Overall the book is quite helpful with recipes that make one think of how Grandmother cooks. Delicious and comforting!

This is a nice book. I'm sure I will appreciate it more when I have time to bake some of Heloise's yummy recipes.

My wife has been using this book from the Library for some time. We finally decided to buy the book and through Amazon.com bought it at a great price. Although my wife is the primary user, I find myself using it. Heloise has great insight in the kitchen with purchases, organization, and old time recipes. This book will clear your cabinets of useless items and bring new thoughts to you for your kitchen.
