I have the Ball Home Canning Kit. The rack in that kit is sturdy enough to do the job, but it has dividers that are very inconvenient for canning in small jars. I bought this one because it doesn't have dividers, and because other reviewers indicated it was sturdy. It is better than I expected! It's much sturdier than the Ball rack, and it has more rings on the bottom so smaller jars can't fall through. You won't be disappointed.

Another reviewer mentioned that the shipping is a little high. However, for me, Kitchen Krafts delivered in two days, so maybe it's worth the cost.

I've been canning for years, and have gone through a number of utensils--particularly the racks. After a couple of seasons they start to rust and must be replaced. This was the answer! A stainless steel rack that has NOT rusted. Sturdy, as a rack should be. I am so pleased to have found this item which I recommended highly.

This is excellent quality. Sturdy and doesn't rust. Much nicer for canning than the ones that have the dividers. You can can more jars at one time with this rack. A must have for anyone who loves to can!

Have used this several times already and am very pleased. Jars do not tip easily on this rack. Folding handles feel very secure when raising and lowering the rack...just need to be careful that you don't position jars in such a way that they get in the way when you are folding the handles back in a bit to put the lid on the boiler.

This rack was purchased as a replacememt for a canning kettle that had seen better days. All I can say is that after a month of canning the rack performed awsome, great product that I would highly recommend.

I bought this new canning rack because my old canning rack was starting to rust. Also, the 1/2 pints were not supported well in my old rack. When I saw this rack, made of stainless steel, and having enough extra support for the smaller jars to not tip, I knew I had to have it. It's not canning season yet, but I know it will perform as expected next Fall.

We have an old canner and the rack was bent and rusted and just tedious to use so we looked for another one. We purchased this one and really enjoy it. It's so much easier to place the jars and we can get more than our old could handle because this one doesn't have dividers. It's working great.

I've always used a divided rack, and when it was about rusted out, we looked for a replacement. I definitely wanted stainless steel and the flat-bottom rack caught our eye. It worked great! Jars of different sizes fit in the pot at the same time with no tipping. We even used it as a basket to blanch tomatoes.

This rack is fantastic. It is very sturdy and we have not had any problems with it. Worth the investment!

Product was generally as advertised, although we are already noticing some wear and rust. Also, shipping charges seemed a bit high.

Not a rip-off, but I would generally avoid in the future. Maybe there are better brands; I am not sure.
