I would have given this 5 stars but when I received my fondue set, one of the metal legs on the stand was not attached so I had to buy some epoxy to fix the problem. I couldn't send it back because I needed it for a fondue party I was having a few days after receiving the product. This was not something that happened during shipping either since the product was well protected and packaged.

Other than that, I love my fondue set!!! It is the perfect size for a big batch of cheese fondue and kept the perfect temperature and consistency. The warming plate underneath helps disperse the heat so there was absolutely no scorching and it was warm evenly. It's also very cute! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fondue pot.

One more note, buy the fuel on this site. It doesn't come with any fuel and I had a hard time finding it in my area. I found a can and it wouldn't fit inside the burner so I had to scrape it out of the can and Into the burner, then it worked. So save yourself some time and order the liquid fuel from this site.

First off, I am Swiss, so I know a lot about fondue sets. This one is a no frills one with some limitations: The construction is pretty weak (thin metal) and the burner is not very solid neither, but sufficiently. The pan is only ceramic, so you need a heat spreader below it, if you put the flame directly on it, it will crack and break in seconds. More expensive pans are cast iron with ceramic around it (for non stick). Also, the pan is pretty small compared to what I have seen in others. BUT, for the price you cannot really ask all that I feel. So I will give this 4 stars as it works great, I have used it already twice and think it is exactly as advertised.

I LOVE my fondue pot, but I recommend using the fuel that's advertised with it. I had read somewhere that I could use propyl alcohol or denatured alcohol so I used what I had. propyl. BIG MISTAKE! I'm hoping that when my fuel from amazon comes in it won't scorch my pot or go up in flames! So far NO good but I'm hoping it will be okay when I get the new fuel.

just a blast to set up and melt cheese or chocolate. Love it

My biggest issue with this fondue pot is that you have to prepare the fondue in a different pot because you are not supposed to put this one on the stove. When you then poor it into this fondue pot, the cheese quickly cools down at first. Also, this pot is not very big. It works ok for two people but I would not recommend it for a larger group.
On the plus-side, the pot is fairly easy to clean.
