Product Description

Product Description

From Kitchen Supply, Super Parchment, the incredible "never-stick" Baking Liner. No need to grease the pan. Even the stickiest, most delicate cookies slide off easily without breaking or tearing. 13-inch by 17-inch sheets can be cut to fit any size pan. Washable and reusable hundreds of times.

Amazon.com

Make any baking sheet nonstick with Super Parchment, a silicone-coated nonstick liner that provides the optimum baking surface. Used with either side up, the Super Parchment works well in conventional or microwave ovens and on large pancake griddles. It requires no greasing or buttering and easily releases cookies, cakes, meringues, and anything else that may stick to the cooking surface. Wipe clean with a damp sponge or paper towel, fold it for easy storage, and use it again and again. --Jane DePaolo

Baking parchment was a wonderful invention but the rolls never seem to work out to the right length and it is single use only. If you have ever baked a bunch of cookies (several trays worth) with parchment you know it can be a pain to keep replacing it. Well, super parchment is reusable and super non-stick. If you do a lot of baking it quickly pays for itself.

I trim my super parchment to be the same size as my cookie sheets. I have used the same to sheets for years without any degradation of function. When I back cookies it is at least a gross and often far more. I also use them for panless bread baking. The sheet is 13"X17" and will fit most pans. It feels a lot like oil cloth in its slickness but this can take the heat. My local overpriced gourmet kitchen store sells these for $[...] but they are worth much more in time savings, ease of use and cleaning, and functionality. If you bake then you should check this stuff out.

I've been using this stuff for 5 years and have bought several packages of them, as I have them to fit all my baking pans. And I use it now to put my artisan breads on, and then just lift them onto the baking stone in the super hot oven, or into the Dutch oven (ala Artisan Breads in 5 Minutes) and eliminate the use of cornmeal. I couldn't bake without it.

I bought one of these after having repeated problems with parchment paper and a demonstrated inability on the part of both myself AND my son to perfect the magic wrist twist/nose twitch required to get a pizza off the paddle and INTO the oven (ingredients sprayed all over the oven or the pie falling in part or in whole on the rack or door instead of on the pizza stone do not count as "in the oven").

I've been using it for 6 months now with no sign of degradation. Store it rolled, not folded. I use it for pizza, bread, and cookies. No more sticking to the pan, no more deflated baguettes, no more soggy parchment paper that promptly turns black in the oven. Simplicity to clean, just wipe it off with a soapy sponge and rinse. I have a tension curtain rod mounted over the sink between my cabinets where I hang a hand towel, I just hang this over the rod to dry.

It does need to be cut to size so it doesn't hang over the edge of your cookie sheet or baking pan.

I plan on getting enough to cut to size for all my cookie sheets and cake pans as well as the baking stone.

MARCH 22, 2012 UPDATE: My original Super Parchment is now almost 2 years old, and still going strong. It definitely shows signs of use, but I doubt my pizza and cookies much care. Still just wipes clean with a damp sponge. I have since added some Pan Pal liners to my collection as I can get them in 1/2 sheet sizes (much larger) and have cut one to size for my baking stone as the Super Parchment wasn't as wide as the stone and limited the size of my pizza. I've also cut them up for cake pan liners. I love this stuff!

I can't say enough good things about this product.

I've used it for everything from cookies to sticky-jam filled scones and have NEVER had sticking issues. It's lightweight, easy to fold and store. You can cut it to fit any pan size - including round cake and spring form pans. Yet it's sturdy enough to slice your desserts on.

I don't know what I did without this - and I gift it to all of my baker friends.

Verified Purchase
This product was described as silicone coated on some websites and as Teflon coated on others, so I contacted Kitchen Supply to find out what materials it's actually made of. The response I received was:

"The Super Parchment is a Teflon-coated nylon fiber. It does not contain any silicone."

The description on Amazon is incorrect. I haven't used this parchment paper, so I can't evaluate how well it works. But as I was intending to buy a silicone liner and an uncoated baking sheet as part of an effort to phase out the fast-dying Teflon cookware from my kitchen, this doesn't exactly serve my purpose, and I will be returning it.
