I've had this bowl and lid for Years, using it multiple times a week while raising my children, routinely using it in the microwave, and always running it through the dishwasher. After many years, the dishwasher has left its etching, but the bowl is rock solid and the measurement lines are still clearly visible. Even the plastic lid is still in good shape!

No toxic chemicals from glazes or plastics, inexpensive, a solid work horse, so it is just the sort of item our grandparents would have used all of their lives without thinking they needed something newer, better, or fancier.

This bowl is a must for every kitchen. The size is good. I have two of these bowls and use them for all my batter mixing and storing. They are sturdy and heavy. A must for home bakers. They are easy to wash and store. The lid is of very good (thick) quality plastic and will last forever.
You can buy this mixing bowl at Walmart for under 10 dollars. Mine have white lids.

My mother had some older "batter bowls" and when one of her two ended up breaking, I replaced it with this. The quality is excellent! The glass is thick and having the lid is just wonderful. It makes storing any left over batter easy! I don't see how anyone who bakes can live without this. The handle makes it easy to stir or pour your ingredients without making a horrible mess. Just a must-have necessity for your kitchen. You too, won't know how you got along before without it!

I ordered this Kitchen Supply bowl based on the reviews, but Amazon sent me the Anchor Hocking bowl instead. While it appears to be similar enough to keep, I'm a bit disappointed that Amazon would substitute without asking. At any rate, the Anchor Hocking is a few dollars less and you might save some money by ordering it instead.
Update: If you zoom in on the lid, you will find that the bowl in the product picture is Anchor Hocking. When I reported this apparent error to Amazon, they responded that the image was correct. This suggests that Kitchen Supply buys their batter bowl from Anchor Hocking, so that there is no difference and no reason to pay more.

The product is very nice, heavy and well made. My wife wanted a large mixing bowl with a lid for making homemade ice cream. This fit the bill and has worked out great. My only problem is that I saw it last weekend at Target for $9. Usually Amazon is very competive, not so this time.

This batter bowl is perfect and it's a "must have" in every kitchen. That being said, make sure you do your homework. After purchasing this bowl from Amazon, I sadly discovered it for sale at my local (Meijer) store for close to half the price.

Every cook (good and bad) needs one or more of these 2 quart batter bowls! They are so handy for measuring and even mixing recipes for cooks, cakes, candy... you name it. It is a good quality product to use and with the handy lid I use it for storing items in the fridge. It's hard to find them anywhere else but Amazon.com and you can't beat the price with a stick! Great gift idea for moms, grandmoms, sisters, aunts and all those wonderful people who actually cook! (They are just as good or better than those you pay three times the amount for at certain parties.)

I love this batter bowl. I use it for many things, including cooking rice in the microwave. It's great because with the high sides, it doesn't boil over. Very convenient because you can mix and or micro in the bowl, pop on the lid and refrigerate. I was concerned that it would be too heavy but it's not. I'm glad I made this purchase, and Amazon was reasonably priced and great with the transaction, and shipping.

I love this bowl, it's exactly what I wanted and it's very useful. When I did price comparisons online, Amazon's price was good. However, right after I bought it I saw it in a local store for half the price! So while the product is good, I'm kicking myself that I overpaid for it.

Truly a favorite with so many uses it would be impossible to name them all. The size is perfect to mix up pancake batter, whip up eggs or salad dressing or anything else. I love it for my cooked custard ice cream batter. I make it up one night and then store it covered in the refrigerator for the following evening. It is also large enough to hold extra leftover soup, stew or whatever for another meal. My mother-in-law, sisters, and friends think I am really a genius to have even found this batter bowl!
