Wow! after buying tons of stuff on amazon over the years, I am finally posting a review. I decided to do this because I believe in stainless steel cookware and this item only has one review.

It is getting harder and harder to find stainless steel bakeware, so when I found this pan I purchased it. Unfortunately it is not as heavy duty as I would like. It has the weight and feel of the cheap bakeware you would find at target or walmart but in stainless steel instead of the usual non-stick junk.

Also, when I opened the box I found that the corner of the rim had been bent. That tells you right there how cheap this pan is. I recently bought a stainless steel tray for my toaster oven and there is no way I could ever bend it's rim and it was only 6.99.

I sent mine back for a refund.

My search continues.

The pan looks and feels good but the bottom is not flat. It has an arch, so when you bake a cake the cake is not the same thickness through out.
When you wash the pan and press down on the bottom of it, it snaps back and you have to snap it back into place when your done.
I hope this makes sense.

Wow! after buying tons of stuff on amazon over the years, I am finally posting a review. I decided to do this because I believe in stainless steel cookware and this item only has one review.

On to the good stuff.... When I opened the box when I got this item, I was at first struck by how cheap it looked and I immediately felt a tinge of disappointment as I paid 25.00 for it. But, alas, all things deserve a chance. The previous reviewer mentioned that it is humped on the bottom and it is. Again, I thought, what the heck??? After a few days, I realized that this is to give the pan structural integrity, so that when you bake something in it, it doesn't do that "pan warp thing" when it gets too hot in the oven. In addition, I have an older stainless steel pan that I have been using to store little kids toys in (if I had known that, I wouldn't have bought this pan on Amazon). Anyway, this older pan also has a hump, but it is machined in a different way. So, I think the hump is a required good thing and it is minimal. My older pan has a more pronounced "hump." As far as it springing out and in, you have to be scrubbing it with a GOOD amount of force for it to do so. It will pop back, no harm done. I don't think it makes your food look weird after it has been cooked. Again, I think the hump is a necessary thing.

The dimensions of the opening are 9 x 13, however, it decreases in size as it goes to the bottom of the pan (again normal?), so you are left with 8 3/8" x 12 3/8". I wish they could have figured out how not to do this as my uncooked lasagna does not sit well in there (because it also has rounded corners taking away from it as well). So, I have to overlap my lasagna...not a big deal though. I have cooked lasagna, chocolate chip cookie bars, and a rice dish in it and all went well.

There was a little sticking (much less than I thought there would) ...but what do you expect...this is not teflon. I am going to get rid of all my teflon and replace with glass or stainless steel.. The pan scratches, again... no big deal...it will ad character. This pan also cleans up pretty good. Soak it if you need to, but it doesn't need that much time.

<As a side note, I went to my brothers to make some dinner and all his teflon pans where really old and peeling... I didn't know what to do. Yuck! >

I can foresee this pan lasting many many years. I just wish they had spent those few extra cents to make it a little bigger. I think it would have been well deserved and would have made it a better product. Also, how about a lid? I would like to rate this pan a 4.5, but will rate it a 5 to balance out the previous reviewer. I think you should buy it.

The 1812 stainless steel seems a little thin to me. After first use the bottom bowed up. The pan still works... it just looks "off".

The pan is well made, decent quality stainless steel. The edges are not rolled, but they are smoothly finished. Stainless steel pans generally do not have rolled edges, anyway. It is heavy enough to not bend unless you abuse it, will hold up much better than a similar aluminum pan. The sides are vertical, so no volume in the pan is lost. The pan sits squarely on a countertop. Not sure what else you could expect or want.
