5.0 out of 5 stars From bedknocks to broomsticks
This CD is sooo gooood, i just had to write another review for it. I mean if you don't buy this CD you will never know how far you could have gone in life. This CD explains some of the harder things in life, it shows you how to get through life in a action packed fun filled way. Smoke that.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too much hype?
Yeah this cd is pretty interesting. I just don't know how special a band like the Raincoats is. At moments it approaches perfection, but then the singing just utterly ruins it. It reminds me of a lot of things, early Sonic Youth, early new wave stuff like Blondie etc. also reminds me a lot of some Dick's Picks Grateful Dead shows cause it has that same kind of sloppiness...

Or any other day.

The raincoats, what can i say I love em. I think the best way to describe their music is like this "soul inspiring anthems that get in yer head and stick there like grip tape" There is just something about listing to girls who can't sing and are even worse at playing.

I picked it up cause I heard of how 'genius' the band is, and I guess its the same thing as the hype around Wesley Willis or that one retarded band that did "My pal foot foot" minus the novelty appeal. The songs are nice, the drums are really nice, but the execution just aint so great. Skip it, or don't, I don't care.

I just didn't vibe with this band. They sort of sound like 'The Ex' which is a GREAT BAND (check them out) but they lost me with their signing. This would be a great band if they didn't sing. Its almost like going to the dentist.

First of all I'm upset that I didn't have an option of awarding this disaster zero stars. But that's another story.

I must be old-fashioned because in my day most vocalists could carry a tune and if they had instruments could play them at the very least with some degree of mediocrity. The Raincoats are a total mess from the first note and beyond. Anyone who could give this music 5 stars must be brain dead. I suspect that it's probably fashionable to jump on the bandwagon for a band (and I use the word very loosely) with absolutely no talent. Getting a root canal with a pneumatic drill would be more entertaining. Anyone buying this CD should be subject to intense psychotherapy.
