3.0 out of 5 stars Only two bowls, not three
Hey folks, just got this exact model from Amazon.com, the KFPW760QBU (that's the KFPW760Q in BlUe). The description says "The food processor features three polycarbonate work bowls, including a 10-cup chef's bowl and a large 12-cup-capacity work bowl ..." (the third bowl, one would presume, is the 4-cup mini-bowl included with all high-end KitchenAid food...

Hey folks, just got this exact model from Amazon.com, the KFPW760QBU (that's the KFPW760Q in BlUe). The description says "The food processor features three polycarbonate work bowls, including a 10-cup chef's bowl and a large 12-cup-capacity work bowl ..." (the third bowl, one would presume, is the 4-cup mini-bowl included with all high-end KitchenAid food processors).

The description is not true. There are only two work bowls: the 12-cup and the 4-cup mini-bowl.

An insert in the box says "This model was specially made for QVC and includes all the food processing tools shown below..." and lists the two bowls (not the 10-cup bowl). The printed product manual lists the 10-cup bowl in addition to the 12-cup and 4-cup bowls. It looks like QVC ordered some special two-bowl models and KitchenAid used the same manual for its standard KFPW760Q model that has three.

So: beware. If you're purchasing this model for its three bowls, look elsewhere - get any model KFPW760 that doesn't have the "Q" appended at the end, which I'm assuming means "QVC" and hence one less work bowl.

FYI, the product manual also lists an egg whip that attaches to the bottom of the citrus press. This is not included either, but, like the 10-cup bowl, is not listed in the QVC insert.

4.0 out of 5 stars Confirmed with KitchenAid, December 12, 2005

I emailed KitchenAid and they confirmed this model was made specifically for QVC, but is still a "real" KitchenAid.

Note that this model KFPW760* also qualifies for the 3 butting boards rebate offer currently on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ktichen Aid food processor, October 28, 2011

Excellent kitchen tool when perfection is required in a recipe. Purees perfectly, makes great marzipan, extremely efficient. Duration of pulse can be used to select size of end product. Don't overfill, per instructions! Cleans up nicely with a little attention to very sharp blades. Safety features work well. Many attachments which I haven't even used. Simplifies recipes when you can add more ingredients to process them all at the same time.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for the price, December 9, 2005

My only issue with this processor is the lack of tight control of the blade spin. The blade does not stop instantaneously after releasing the pulse button; rather, it keeps spinning for another second or so. It's not a deal breaker, but it doesn't allow for the fine control I'd like with certain items. I think the Cuisinart models are better in this regard.
