LOVE THEM!!,

After a lot of reviewing and searching on the web, we decided to go with these knives but in black. We also didn't have a fortune to spend on the higher end brands that can cost over a thousand dollars! All I can say about these knives is WOW, VERY VERY nice! We do hand wash and dry them and haven't had any rust problems, even after a day in/next to the sink. Love the feel and weight of the knives and very sharp! This is a huge improvement from the set these replaced which was just a cheap wally world set. We also love the fact they come with 8 steak knives and not the usual 6 you see. So far we are VERY happy with them and looking forward to many more years with them.

I have never, ever, ever put these knives in the dishwasher. Yet shortly after purchasing them I noticed small rust spots. I stepped up my vigilence in hand washing and drying them and it didn't help. Some of the more used ones are horribly rusted. I don't know if it's the stainless steel or the quality of the brand or what but I'm super disappointed and will probably not buy KitchenAid knives again.

I like Kitchenaid products because I can get them in red. These knives cut just fine but started rusting the first time I washed them and I hand wash unlike the lady whose knives rusted in the dishwasher.

Great but they rust,

I guess I should have read all of the information that came with the knives and I would have known. I received these as a gift and I love....make that "loved" them. They are attractive, they cut well but they rust when washed in the dishwasher.
If you wash them each time by hand and put them away, you will be fine. If you are lazy like me and depend on the dishwasher, they will rust.

I am so picky about my knives---I want Wusthof but the price.....I've tried Henkles and other less expensive brands like Miracle Blade etc. but KitchenAid never fails to please me. The first time I used my new knives I was cutting pockets into partially frozen pork chops and ended up needing 6 stitches in my thumb! I do wish I had one more serrated blade, but other than that A+
