1.0 out of 5 stars Work bowl not that solid
I got the KitchenAid processor a couple of years ago which I love. Unfortunately their work bowls aren't that solid. After 1 1/2 years, the handle started to fall apart. The plastic pieces apparently aren't welded that well together. It was probably the dishwasher that disintegrated the bowl so now, with the replacement piece, I have to handwash it.

4.0 out of 5 stars KitchenAid bowl, February 5, 2010

The delivery was great. The product itself is good, there's just one problem. It says that it's dishwasher safe but it really isn't. The reason I had to buy this replacement bowl is that I washed the original one in the dishwasher. For some reason water gets trapped in the handle and then it gets quite moldy and disgusting and there's no way to clean it. I didn't feel comfortable using it anymore. Really, other than that one issue it's a fine product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Seems exactly like original, December 9, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The replacement bowl works great if you like the original. Like others here and everywhere, I wish I didn't need to buy a replacement. The design of the handle does not hold up to use and it must fit in properly to allow the processor to turn on. This is a great food processor except for this bowl issue.

Buying the replacement here was fast and easy. If there was a real sale on these, I'd buy a few because I'm guessing this one will break too.

Can't manage cooking, esp for holidays and company without this necessary part of the Kitchen Aid food processor. So glad there are replacements available.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hand wash only, September 14, 2011

The handle of my food processor bowl fell apart, and, after reading other reviews on here, I see why. I had put it in the dishwasher, but the moisture from the dishwasher stays in the handle, causing the parts to "weaken." So when I received my replacement bowl, I made sure my whole family knew to hand wash it. Otherwise, I love my KitchenAid food processor!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!, August 5, 2011

Fits my food processor perfectly. It was exactly what I was looking for! Happy with my purchase. Although, I did need a new bowl cause my old one broke. The plastic could be a bit stronger/more durable. But overall, I'm happy with it. I will use my kitchenaid processor for many more years.

I broke the original bowl for our food processor and needed a replacement. It's exactly like the original. End of story.

This "7 cup" work bowl ONLY HOLDS 3 CUPS OF LIQUID. If you go over that, it will go down the central shaft. Also, the sloping sides catch chopped food, so it doesn't fall back down to be chopped again.

KitchenAid has a bum product on their hands. Poor design.
