This hand mixer is all I thought it would be and more. I have purchased hand mixers locally and tried every brand available and most usually burn up or simply don't have the power. This mixer is great for everything.

Good power for a hand-held. Also much better quality than most other hand mixers I've had. Love the red color!

This mixer is just as advertised. It does a great job. The price was reasonable, and it was delivered promptly.

I bought the same model but in white thinking that with the money I am spending this mixer will last me a long time. Kitchen Aid let me down. The beater blade broke (a mechanical failure; direct result of Kitchen Aid's poor manufacturing and faulty design) right after the warranty expired.

I bought this mixer based on the manufacturer's reputation. We used it maybe 6 times in 14 months (yes, 2 months out of warranty), and it failed on Thanksgiving day mixing mashed potatoes. Very sad. $90 pretty much wasted.

UPDATE:

A couple months later, I was about to throw the mixer in the trash, and decided to give it one more try...and it worked...couldn't believe it.

Some may think that the reason the mixer "failed" on Thanksgiving day was perhaps over-heating...and if I had just waited for it to cool down a bit on Thanksgiving day, it would have worked. But we did wait a while...and I even tried it the next day...still didn't work...so why it worked two months later, and continues to work to this day, is a mystery.

Power without a ton of noise! Those are my two highest considerations. And I got both for a reasonable price. And I love this true red.

This unit goes slow as I need; and has the power for heavy duty tasks and high-speed cream-whipping. The beaters pop in easily; out, easily; clean themselves easily when lifted out of the batter.

Love that it's quiet (and that's compared to some price-y top-name brands sold locally that I tried and returned before searching online for this one). My hands are busy, floured-up, grease-y, or wet when I'm mixing ... I can't be stickin' 'em in my sensitive ears; so, quietness is an important part of my cooking enjoyment.

I have dreamed about having my own kitchenaid hand mixer since I was little and now I do. I love it so much!
