Great blender!,

There seem subtle differences in a commercial smoothie maker you see at the juice bars and one of these. But If you want a smoothie like those there is a reason you pay $400-800 for a true commercial mixer and one of these. This Kitchenaid is Great and can handle some quality blending. But it seems Some people didn't read the title of this unit when ordering. BAR BLENDER. This think is the best consumer blender your going to find! It's heavy duty and the best think in the consumer range. it blows anything in that class away, even it's little brother units. But this is not a Vita-Mix! You want to grind up a fruit orchard or a vegetable garden then get a Vita-Mix! If you want to make drinks, frozen or regular. You want to make anything like shakes and malts? this will do it and do it for 20 years to come. this is the best consumer blender you can get. You can buy a Pro Line 600 mixer and it will be the greatest home mixer you can get. You want the same quality as the bakery uses then go get a Hobart.
unrealistic expectations aside, this is a great blender and in terms of quality you can't beat it! It far exceeds anything you can get from any other maker of consumer kitchen appliances. the thing is built like a tank! made of actual metal which appears to be powder coated. weighs a lot and takes up a larger footprint than the average blender. If you can deal with the size and weight of it And understand this is not specifically designed as an object meant to grind up dense objects in huge quantity and is in fact a killer household and bar blender then you will be happy!

My wife and I had been looking for a good blender for several months. After reading most of the reviews on a lot of blenders we decided that we would give this one a try. The initial impression was that it was big... but strong and sturdy big not bulky big. After trying it out on a smoothie our impression was that it handled ice cubes better than expected. We have been using it now for several months and it has not disappointed in its performance. Overall we are quite satisfied with this product.
