I bought this expecting stainless steel kitchenaid quality but i am very sad. This started to rust in several spots in 4 weeks and I am very careful with my use of this item. I am not banging or scraping things against this dish drain rack. I will call kitchenaid to try to have them address this rusting issue.update I received a full refund :)

Exactly what I wanted and expected. The unit is large (which I like), so make sure you have ample counter space for it, but it holds piles of dishes and pots. The brushed stainless steel sides make it look sleek and attractive in the kitchen. Drain tray works fine. All in all a great dish rack if you want something on the larger side.

I love the design of this dish rack - perfect size, nice utensil holder, slots for knives so they aren't grating against other utensils, and best of all the drain pan is raised slightly above the counter and slanted to drain well - this allows it drain into your sink even if your sink has a raised edge. However, the rack began to rust within just a few weeks, and after a few months was badly rusted to the point that it was leaving rust stains on dishes and kitchen counter. I would not recommend this product. Such a shame to have a really nice design made useless by poor materials.

As one of the reviewers said, this is quite large; so if you have small counter space by your sink it may not work for you. You may want to take measurements before ordering. It sure does hold lots of dishes and I love the side struts where glasses dry. This looks so much better in my kitchen than the plastic drains that I was using before. And it really does keep water off the counter. The stainless steel is less likely to develop mold too. I saw a drainer much like this one at a friends house. She got hers from Williams Sonoma and paid three times the amount for it. This one is just as nice.

Space saving, durable, easy to clean, drip catch is brilliant, and dishes can pile high. Was more than I was wanting to spend, but it is worth it.

This is the 2nd KitchenAid dish dryer we have bought. The first one developed rust after a few years, and the plastic drain pan was not sloped enough to facilitate runoff, and so water spots etc. developed on the pan. I don't recall whether the first one was advertised as being made of stainless steel, but this new one is, and so we're hoping we won't have rust spots after a couple of years or so. The big problem is that unlike one of the photos shown with this item, and despite comments from other reviewers that it drains well, the plastic drain pan on our new one does NOT slope enough to allow the dripped water to run off. I've had to prop up one end in order to achieve that. I don't understand why such a venerable company as KitchenAid makes a drainer that does not drain properly.

We could not ask for more. It is very spacious, the design is both practical and classy and it works, unlike every other rack we have had before. It drains right in your sink even if your sink has a lip above the counter. The photos do not do justice to the product.
