I discovered this item while house sitting (I still had to cook for my own family of 8.) I was truly amazed the first time I used it-- my scrambled eggs had never been so good. I thought I was happy with my Farberware set until I used this set. While I enjoyed using the full Kitchen Aid Hard Anodized set with glass lids, this 5-qt. saute pan immediately impressed me. I felt like a gourmet chef. Everything I made was more moist and evenly cooked. Excellent for cooking for a large family. Cleaned up remarkably easily. I'm still saving up to buy it for myself, but had to highly recommend it. Consider buying the whole set, although this particular pan would be used most in our home. If money is an issue and you can only buy one nice pan, I'd recommend this one. Since I often used the other pans for boiling pasta and other such things that didn't demand high quality cookware, the difference in the quality of the end product was always most noticable with this pan. I can't wait to cook with it again.

I received my 11 pices set, including the 5 qt. covered saute pan and it's wonderful! I cooked a whole meal using less oil and water. Everything tasted so good and I knew it was healthier for us. The next morning I made pancakes with the covered saute pan, on low heat, and have never had them turn out so fluffy! This is a great set.
