1.0 out of 5 stars Nonstick? HA!
This is a terrible pan with virtually no nonstick qualities.

I bought this pan because I have purchased others in the same line before and was pleased. This pan, however, is an exception. I am a frequent (and pretty good!) cook, and I have a wide selection of top-quality cookware in my kitchen: All-Clad, Le Creuset, 100 year-old cast iron. I am more than...

5.0 out of 5 stars KitchenAid pots and pans are the BEST, March 26, 2009

I have been so impressed with my collection of KitchenAid pots and pans. The quality is superb, and the prices that I've bought them at have been extremely affordable. This particular pan, the nonstick 8 inch skillet, is just fantastic. It heats evenly, has the perfect weight, has a cushy handle that stays cool, and can even go in the dishwasher. This is my favorite pan for cooking eggs in. I bought a large non stick skillet later on, at full price, I liked this smaller pan so much. There is no reason to spend piles of money on expensive pots and pans, when you can get KitchenAid products instead. Highly Recommended!!!

Supposed to cook omelets perfectly and it does. Omelet slides right out of the pan. Easy to clean up. What else can an omelet pan do?

This is a terrible pan with virtually no nonstick qualities.

I bought this pan because I have purchased others in the same line before and was pleased. This pan, however, is an exception. I am a frequent (and pretty good!) cook, and I have a wide selection of top-quality cookware in my kitchen: All-Clad, Le Creuset, 100 year-old cast iron. I am more than familiar with all different cooking surfaces and how food should respond to each of them.

I can honestly say this pan - at least the one shipped to me - has no more nonstick qualities than my favorite stainless steel All-Clad. While fine for sauteed veggies (and why would one need nonstick for that?), eggs and other delicate proteins stuck without gobs of oil - and, again, what is the point of buying nonstick if the food is still floating on a sea of oil?

I am really disappointed, and am returning my pan today. Perhaps it is defective (I don't know), but I certainly won't be buying another.

I bought this as a replacement for a Calphalon omelet pan and am very pleased with it. It's a bit lighter than the old pan but that's a plus rather than a negative. Excellent quality.

Even tho I have other pans this size am glad I bought this. It cooks very well. The best part is that it heats and cools rapidly. If you want the cooking to stop or slow just remove the pan from the heat. My pan with the heavy disc on the bottom will not do that. Is a little heavier than I thought, but is ok. I like the truly stay cool handle.
Cooked salmon the other day and it browned to perfection. All my 8" lids fit this cause of the flared lip. Love to use hard anondized. And this pan is well made.

simply the best nonstick pan I've ever had. I bought this pan mainly for making french omelets but works like a charm with fish and others things that stick.

I've been using this skillet for 2 mo., and i have no problem with it or the Amazon purchase. It is light weight, cleans up with a paper towel, has a good nonslip grip, and i see no reason it shouldn't last for years. Price was reasonable, $26.74.
