Designed for superior performance, this 8-inch skillet from KitchenAid is crafted with a Hi-Density, hard-anodized aluminum exterior. Hard-anodized aluminum has been given a special finish to protect it from corrosion. It is a good conductor of heat and the special finish also helps its stick-resistance. In addition, the pan features an Autograph nonstick interior, which is Dupont's renowned advanced 3-coat nonstick system. The pan boasts a triple-riveted cast stainless-steel handle enhanced with silicone for a steady grip, and it's oven safe to 500 degrees F. The skillet comes backed by KitchenAid's Hassle-Free Replacement Warranty.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: KitchenAid Hi-Density Hard Anodized Clad 8-Inch Clad Skillet with Gift Box (Kitchen)
First use of this pan and my potatoes stuck all over the bottom of the pan. I followed all instructions diligently, and have other hard anodized cookware without this problem. I don't know why my pan performed so poorly, but I am going back to Calphalon now. Guess you get what you pay for. Too bad, it felt nice and heavy and looked well made.

Coming back after more experience... it's gone through some heavy cleaning and I have to use more oil than I would like. It's getting used a couple times a week now. I guess in the post - Teflon world it's just something to get used to!

This pan offers excellent dispersal of heat, as well as being a perfect weight (quite heavy). Be aware that the 8 inch measurement over-represents the size of this pan. It would work well for scrambling 2 eggs, but not 3 (for point of reference).

You will enjoy this pan, as it feels as though it will have a long life span.
