Product Description

Product Description

.6mm Gauge, Non-Stick 9 x 5 Loaf pan

Amazon.com

Professional-level KitchenAid II bakeware produces delicious sweets, making dessert the best part of the meal. This 9-by-5-inch loaf pan bakes a sweet strawberry bread just as well as it does a healthy garbanzo bean loaf casserole. Made of heavy-duty .6-millimeter carbon steel, the pan offers excellent heat distribution and is resistant to warping under high temperatures. The nonstick coating lets you forego using additional butter to grease the pan as it releases breads with ease without seasoning. The durable nonstick surface also holds up to both metal utensils and repeated cleanings in the dishwasher. This bakeware has rolled edges for added strength and oversized rims for safe and easy handling under intense heat. This loaf pan is covered by a one-year hassle-free replacement warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

Most Helpful Customer Reviews

6 of 6 people found the following review helpful By Bruce E. Layne on February 22, 2005
Like the other Kitchenaid nonstick bakeware, this loaf pan is made from very heavy gauge metal and, unlike Ecko and even Wilton, the nonstick coating is thick and durable.

Don't gouge the surface with metal implements, don't overheat the loaf pan (450 F max), and don't use an abrasive nylon pad like a Scotchbrite to clean it. The nonstick surface is so effective that there should be no need for harsh cleaning. Even seriously baked on foods should come off after an hour of soaking in warm water.

I bought this pan to go with my other kitchenAid loaf pan and was a bit disappointed that it was a bit smaller than my other one. After making a dozen or so loafs with it I am liking it more and more because the loaves just pop right out of this pan but my older one I have to spray it first. I may buy another one soon and just use the other loaf pan for something else since I like my loaves a uniform size.
