Very simply, my wife was happily making bread within minutes of opening the box. Easy to attach, fit and works perfectly. It was more difficult in selecting the correct hook to fit her machine. This one works with several models, and her's is a K4SSWH, a 4 Qt, Bowl-lift, Stand Mixer.

I bought my mother a Kitchenaid (K4SSWH I think?) at a black Friday sale at Sears. I thought I had done my research to order the correct attachments, but they didn't fit. Ended up making a call to Kitchenaid to ensure that I was ordering the right parts. I would recommend anyone ordering parts to call Kitchenaid before ordering. Hope this helps...

Fast shipping ordered it on the 22nd of November and received it on the 26th of November and fits just fine for the walmart $149.00 special.

I received a kitchen-aid from my wedding registry. I decided to try to make dough the other day. I used the mixer which took about 3 minutes on low to knead the dough. I used Cooks Illustrated Rustic Italian Bread recipe which calls for the use of a biga (starter) and I had a hard time going back to store bought bread. It's so easy and the same dough can be used for pizza or fry bread with a little salt.

After about 3 minutes on low I was surprised that I just slipped the dough off the hook and the both my hands and the bowl required very minimal cleaning. Dough hook cleans all of the dough off the sides of the bowl.

I recently purchased the K4SSWH, and I was very discouraged when I realized the accessory guide that came with the machine did not even list this model number! Through some research, I discovered the appropriate attachements. I just this dough hooko in yesterday, and it is definitely the right one for the K4SSWH. Thanks to all the previous reviewers who helped me find it!

I love the mixer, purchased at Sears Black Friday sale, but made the same mistake as another reviewer. I ordered attachments listed for 41/2 quart mixers, and none fit. Kitchenaid needs to be more specific about what fits what! I am now paying return costs and will have to call Kitchenaid.

Got this to fit my kitchenaid from walmart. It's was the model from a year ago that was the black Friday special. It fits right, and I've been using it to make pizza dough. My mom actually has the same mixer, and has owned it for 30 years, the exact same model. That's why I purchased this one, even though it didn't come with attachments. I bought the hook and wire whip for less than $20 each and now my investment is complete.

I have had no problems making large (up to 9 cups of flour) batches of bread, english muffins, and cinnamon rolls. My mixer is a K4SSWH too. Easy cleanup.

I was dissappointed when I found out that after I purchased the discount Kitchen mixer from Walmart that the Dough Hook and Wire Whip doesn't come with it. Which means it wasn't a discount at all. I read other buyers reviews to find out which Dough Hook to purchase that would fit the mixer and found this one. They were correct it does fit this model and I'm excited to use it.

I love this devise! Making bread has never been easier! I think it is fantastic and I will never own another mixer!
