Product Description

Amazon.com Review

Cozy up to this! If you own a 5-quart KitchenAid stand mixer, you've undoubtedly come to appreciate it as an invaluable timesaving tool in your kitchen. Keep the mixer in tiptop condition with this washable cloth cover, designed to protect it from dust and scratches. Store it with your kitchen linens and just slip it over your mixer whenever it's not in use. The cover, which resembles a big tea cozy, is made of a quilted white cotton/polyester blend fabric with navy blue piping trim and KitchenAid logo. It also includes a roomy outside pocket. --Alison Golder

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice, but expensive, June 22, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: KitchenAid K5CR Cloth Cover for 5-Quart Stand Mixers (Kitchen)
Gotta love not having to clean the dust out of the mixer before every usage. If you sew you could probably make a cover alot cheaper, but for the rest of us this works great and makes the mixer 'disappear' on the countertop.

5.0 out of 5 stars KitchenAid Mixer Undercover, December 22, 2000

This review is from: KitchenAid K5CR Cloth Cover for 5-Quart Stand Mixers (Kitchen)
My KitchenAid 5-quart stand mixer sits on my butcher block-topped kitchen island, so the mixer is ready for use at any time. This wonderful stand mixer is too heavy to put away and take out. I ordered my cover directly from KitchenAid many years ago, and I am very pleased with it. I have put it through the washer and dryer many times, and it still looks like new. I love the outside pocket because I can keep my KitchenAid booklet there along with a few favorite recipes. Also, I have sewed matching appliance covers for several other of my small electric appliances that I like to leave out on my tile countertops. (I wish I had an appliance garage, but I don't.) Highly Recommended Buy!

2.0 out of 5 stars nice cover but the dye runs badly, April 20, 2002
By
ROB A SCHMIDT (Maple Valley, WA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: KitchenAid K5CR Cloth Cover for 5-Quart Stand Mixers (Kitchen)
I got this cover for my new Kitchen Aid and was pleased with it the first few weeks. Until, that is, I got it a little dirty and needed to run some cold water on a small portion of it to remove a tomatoe sauce splatter. The dark dye started running *immediately* onto the white and I was madly trying to stop it before it got too bad. I fixed it as best as I could but about an inch all around one side on the trim is a light blue from the dye. I now have to remove it whenever I cook anything that may get on it and it's very impractical. Being in a kitchen, this cover is extremely likely to need washing from time to time and I found it just ridiculous that this is basically impossible to do without ruining it.
