Now it's easy, works very well, would recommend it and feel I made a very good choice.

These come off unless you pull the blade up slowly.

I really like the slightly larger than most container- and it is quieter than my old chopper.
Be careful though when you remove the blade- there is a black gasket and white plastic ring that help hold the blade in place. These come off unless you pull the blade up slowly. This is a poor design. These should not come off as they will be very easy to lose--- OR what happened to me: they came off in my washing the blade and went down the disposal. I managed to recover them, although damaged, and they seem (so far) to be able to hold the blade in place ok.
You also have to be careful in washing the lid as moisture gets in between the plastic layers and cannot be wiped off.

Does everything promised and much handier for most jobs than food processor.
High quality as with most Kitchenaid products. Easy to clean.

I needed to chop a few big onions and I refused to chop by hand. Thanks to this product I was able to do it quickly and efficiently.I love this food chopper and can't understand why I had not purchased one before. This is a must have for anyone who loves cooking. It is quick and cleans up easily. I have not been disappointed with KitchenAId products.

Anyone wanting a small chopper should get this one. Not to big not too small. Just right. I had a small one cup that really didn't get any job done. Have the large Cuisinart food processor that is heavy and so hard to clean. The KitchenAid 3.5 cup is so lite and easy to use I keep it on the counter all the time. I do a lot of cooking and it seems to be the right size for almost everything. I would recommend it to anyone. 2 speeds and so easy to take apart and rinse out for use right away.

This is a great processor for a single batch of salsa except for one major issue - it slings liquid, through the top cover to bowl joint, all over your kitchen. This is ridiculous. You have to wipe down the electrical motor when you're finished because it will be soaked in tomato juice. I've tried holding paper towels around the top and mashing the buttons with my pinkie but this only helps so much.

Other than that, perfect.

I love KitchenAid products and this food chopper is an addition to other products I own which bears KitchenAid brand. It works very well chopping garlic, onion, nuts etc. And the size 3.5 cups is what I need for a family of three right now. I am happy once again with this product of KitchenAid.

My previous one was incredibly hard to close for operation. Bought kitchenaid kind again thinking surely this would have improved. It has improved but still harder than expected to close. Better than nothing but wonder if another brand is better. While kitchenaid is a great brand, I won't make the mistake again should I need another. Will mention tho, the first one lasted approx 7-10 years ... Can't nail down exact life time.
