Product Description

Amazon.com Review

Freshly squeeze your own 100% natural citrus fruit juice and increase the versatility of your food processor with this citrus juicer by KitchenAid. Designed to fit 9-cup and 12-cup KitchenAid food processors, this attachment quickly and efficiently juices all types of citrus fruits. Simply hold the fruit cut side down over the spinning reamer. With a firm grip, press fruit onto reamer and squeeze in the sides to extract all juice. This citrus juicer attachment is much easier to store than a regular juicer--the reamer and basket are the size of a regular cereal bowl. --Jane DePaolo

1.0 out of 5 stars Not the same attachment that ships with the KPF670, January 7, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: KitchenAid KFPCJ Citrus Juicer Attachment, for 9 and 11-cup Food Processors (Kitchen)

The item for sale here includes:
1. The juicer
2. A small reamer

The KPF670 (the most expensive and powerful of the 11-cup processors) includes:
1. The juicer
2. A small reamer
3. A large reamer
4. The citrus press (the critical component if you do not wish to juice your fingers)

I was able to purchase the complete juicer/press set from Kitchenaid directly. They said it's not normally sold as a separate item, but after I expressed my concern about putting my fingers so close to the spinning parts, they were able to locate one for me. They did suggest that it may be sold as the complete juicer/press in the future. I suggest that anyone thinking of buying this item should contact Kitchenaid as well.

I gave this item as it is sold here one star because it is dangerous and messy. The full juicer as I purchased it from Kitchenaid, including the press and large reamer, is excellent and I would give it 4 or 5 stars.

1.0 out of 5 stars I hate it, I hate it, I hate it!, July 27, 2000
This review is from: KitchenAid KFPCJ Citrus Juicer Attachment, for 9 and 11-cup Food Processors (Kitchen)
I bought a lot of the attachments for the 11 cup processor. I like the discs, I love the juice extractor (non citrus), but I hate this citrus juicer attachments!

You have to attach it to the top, turn it on and then with your hand press the fruit over the extremely fast spinning reamer. The peel off my lemon was shred apart before half of the juice was extracted. And yes, I did hurt my hand!

Please go ahead and buy all the other wonderful attachments this company makes, but wait with this one until they have gone back to the drawing board.

1.0 out of 5 stars will rip the skin off your fingers if you are not careful, July 14, 2003
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: KitchenAid KFPCJ Citrus Juicer Attachment, for 9 and 11-cup Food Processors (Kitchen)
This attachment is designed to turn your powerful KitchenAid food processor into a citrus juicer. The word powerful defines the most important problem and safety issue with this product: unlike other citrus juicers where the core will spin at a moderate speed upon the user pressing down, this will power into action as you press the "pulse" button on the machine and then spin so fast that it is very tricky to hold on to the citrus fruit, especially smaller ones like lemons and limes. If you slip, your fingers can get badly scraped by exposure to the spinning core. Did that twice and threw the thing out. It is not worth it! There are many great attachments for the KitchenAid Processor, this is NOT one of them. Don't waste your money!
