Terrific Baster!
This is another excellent KitchenAid addition! Finally a baster that comes with a cleaning brush! It works like a dream and is a breeze to clean. I am extremely pleased with this purchase. I highly recommend this baster!

Failure is in the execution
The positive reviews had me so hopeful. The best part of this baster is the cleaning brush to clean other stuff. This oval mouthed baster sounded so great, but it WILL NOT hold hot liquids. It spills, pours out and is utterly worthless as a baster. Yes if you hold the oval horizontal is doesn't spill AS FAST as if you hold it vertical, but it still pours out. Maybe...

Works like any baster, at a lower price, and the cleaning brush works great with a little hot water and dish soap. Apologies to the turkeys.

In my experience the most frustrating thing about any baster is cleaning it. This baster almost solves 99% of the problem. It's clear so you can see what you're doing and whether or not it's clean. The brush makes cleaning it much easier than any of the alternatives. If only they could come up with any easy way to clean the inside of the bulb. Fortunately you can work a small sponge in there as well. I've been using it for 6 months now and have been very happy with it.

Maybe it would hold thick cold liquids like maple syrup, but for basting a turkey it is a failure.
