Amazon.com Review

Make quick work of chopping garlic cloves with KitchenAid's garlic press--you'll wonder why you ever bothered with those jars of prechopped garlic. Simply insert a clove or two into the well, flip the handles together, and press down firmly--out through the holes comes your freshly chopped garlic. Cleanup's a breeze since nothing sticks to the polished stainless steel, and the handy brush quickly pushes out any garlic still stuck in the holes. You won't want to lose this little brush, so for storage, simply clip the brush to the press mechanism and fold the press closed. --Maile Rehbock

5.0 out of 5 stars Great garlic press!, October 8, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: KitchenAid Garlic Press, Black (Kitchen)
This is by far the best garlic press I have ever used. It doesn't leave behind half the garlic like most of them do, only a small amount of 'skin'... Very well made gadet, I was surprised at the weight.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for big hands, solid, weighty, August 1, 2003

Its a garlic press... what can you say. It is a solid metal press, fairly large, which is good for my big hands. I found it easy to clean, but the cleaning tool certainly gets the holes cleaned quicker. No need to pull skin off the bulbs. While the cleaning tool is plastic and may break or get lost the press itself should last. I don't know about shallots or small onions as one reviewer mentioned. They would need to be smallish shallots and cocktail onions or pre-sliced chunks.

2.0 out of 5 stars It was good, until it broke., March 24, 2005
This review is from: KitchenAid Garlic Press, Black (Kitchen)
Did a good job pressing the garlic, until it broke where the plastic met the chrome on the handle. Use caution.
