5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Mixer
I've always had the inexpensive handheld mixers and all their irritating nuances until last year when I purchased this mixer and am amazed by it. The low speeds are phenomenal. There is little splattering while mixing. It mixes very well at all the speeds. It is lightweight. Mine has a whisk with it but I haven't used that feature.

1.0 out of 5 stars It just stopped working
I was terribly disappointed with the quality of this Kitchenaid mixer. I only had it for a little over a year. I seldom used it and only used it for box cakes. When I did use it, however, it worked like a charm; but the last time I got ready to make a cake from a mix, I plugged it in and no response whatsoever. I plugged it in different outlets but it was as dead as a...

We have five teens and this mixer seems "unphased" by more rugged use from them. Dough doesn't get stuck to the body; it is very easy to wipe down. I'm very happy with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great mixer, January 10, 2009
I bought this mixer last year in the pretty French Blue color and I love it. It has nine speeds, so you can go as slow or fast as you need. This hand mixer is so quiet too, unlike my mixer that this one replaced. When I first saw the beaters, I thought they would be too weak to mix anything substantial, but surprisingly that is not true. This mixer and beaters have performed just fine to everything I have used it for.

5.0 out of 5 stars KitchenAid 9-speed Yellow, January 6, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was rather surprised at the particular yellow of this mixer - think LEMONS. After color shock and a pair of sunglasses I have found that the mixer has wonderful low speeds, which my older mixer never had. As far as the highest speed, not sure it is as powerful as my old one, but it gets the job done - and is quieter. I'm still getting used to it and its unique beaters, but I do recommend it - perhaps in a different color, but hey, my two year old loves yellow - so it is a hit.

I plugged it in different outlets but it was as dead as a door knob. I kept it for awhile, thinking it would "revive" itself, and would plug it up occasionally. Still dead. I consider it an expensive piece of junk. No wonder there's only a one-year warranty on it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best! Worth every penny!, February 12, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I love to cook and needed a dependable mixer that was small enough to stash in a front cabinet. After looking all over Amazon, and reading tons of reviews, I chose this one. I am so glad I did! The power is great and mixes batter much quicker than my old one.
I was skeptical about the thinness of the beaters. I wondered if they'd hold up to heavy cookie dough. They do! With no trouble at all they blended in chocolate chips and nuts. And since they're thinner I don't have globs of dough still stuck to the beaters when I'm finished.
I chose the blue color and it's great! Nice and bright!

4.0 out of 5 stars good mixer, March 12, 2009

I am enjoying the mixer. Whipped egg whites well with the whisk that comes as an attachment. Have made 2 batches of cookies so far. Love the color, which just makes it more fun to use. Love the base as it is sturdy so the mixer doesn't tip when set down. The beaters are indeed easier to clean than those with a center rod. Only complaints are that it is a bit heavy to hold and the grip is not the most comfortable. All true to what I'd read in a consumer review. Overall am happy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Mixer, sure beats making homemade whip cream by hand with a fork!, June 16, 2009

This review is from: KitchenAid KHM9PGG Professional 9-Speed Handheld Mixer, Grass Green (Kitchen)
My experience with mixers includes baking cookies with my mom as a kid. Given such, the buttons on this model provide a smooth response and allow you to easily dial the power without too much worry of a slider switch. In my humble experience, slider switches allow you to go from Zero to cleaning batter of the walls very easily. It only comes with two attachments, the normal pair of "beaters" and a single wisk. I'll probably look for a bread hook attachment later, when I get a bread maker.

Overall, great quality, the plug attaches to the body of the mixer with a strong piece of rubber that should not allow too much abuse and a frayed cable. It is heavy enough to feel substantial, but light enough to use without strain.

BTW, I bought this because I tried to make whipped cream with a fork and bowl and it took waaaayyyy too long and was tiring. I enjoy home whipped cream much more than Coolwhip and bottle type (although I wouldn't turn any whipped cream away from my deserts).

5.0 out of 5 stars An Amazing Mixer, June 4, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I absolutely love this mixer. It is the only mixer that I have ever found that has the low and high speeds I need for every possible use. I know these are a little pricier than a cheap mixer from Walmart, but they are worth their weight in gold. They will last forever and very rarely break. I had been replacing my mixer every few years before, but I plan on making cookies with my grandkids with this mixer. The blue color is also beautiful enough to actually leave it on the counter and not always have it put up in a cabinet.

This little hand mixer is great. It's lightweight, quiet and very efficient. Best feature is having the lower range speeds. Sorry I waited so long to purchase.
