For too many years I've settled for the cheap toasters, and never been happy. This one works like it should. For perfectly toasted bagels, set it to 5 and push the bagel button. For English muffins, set it to 6 and push the bagel button. For toast, just set it to 5.

I am pleased with my purchase. I love the cinnamon color but the function was what was most important and this toaster does a fine job. I got a great deal on it. It toasts toast and bagels perfectly and it is easy to clean. I recommend it to anyone.

I have gone thru an estimated 20 toasters in my life. I finally found
a toaster under [...] that does a super job. The Bagle setting is a miracle. [...] I feel truely blessed.

My only regret is I didn't buy 2.

I bought this toaster to replace my existing Kitchenaid that had one side of the heating element burn out after many years. Once nice improvement on the new toaster is that it doesn't slide all over the counter like the old one did. Non-slip legs. The cinnamon color is kinda subdued & looks great in my kitchen. It is not bright but is a nice accent. My only improvement would be to have long slots so I could put in the sour dough slices like I did on the old Kitchenaid we had. With this one I have to put the long slices in twice on each end. But I am happy with it overall. It is easier to clean because it has a tray you can dump. The sides are cool touch. The price on Amazon was great -- a lot less than retail. Very happy with product, it functions well.

Pro: This Toaster is built solid. I like the bagel setting. Con:Toastet bread comes out uneven. If you look inside the toaster during toasting the outside heating elements getting much redder than the inside.A replacement toaster worked about the same way.So when I toast bread,I toast in two steps by turning the inside to the outside.

Honestly, this is the first toaster I have ever purchased. I am from China. Toasted bread is not my traditional breakfast. But I recently fell in love with bagel and were finding ways to reproduce the crunchy, chewable yet soft feel that a bagel store usually offers. I read numerous positive reviews on the bagel function of this product which clicks with my intention nicely. Then I decided to give it a shot. It didn't fall short of my expectation at all. I enjoyed every browned and a little edge-burned piece of bagel out of this functional product. Even my picky husband was quite impressed and praised my worthy purchase. What's more can ask for? I would give it a top rating and I believe quality products should be enjoyed by more consumers. I am sending my two cents and hopefully this will draw more people to the right product.

I bought this toaster to replace an older 4 slice toaster that took forever to toast things. This toaster is nice looking but has some drawbacks. First, the slots for toast are not deep enough to accomodate larger pieces of bread. Second, it takes longer to toast than it should. Would not buy again.

I was very disappointed with this product. I bought it for the name and figured it would be a good toaster. For one it takes too long to toast even bread. I also have trouble adjusting for toast with out burning it or under toasting it. I am amazed how long it takes to toast. The longest time I have ever seen in a toaster. I wish I had my old toaster back.

I bought this toaster a while back and within one month started having problems. When it works, it works great, but without warning it will continue to toast and burn whatever is in there. Then occasionally the arm won't stay down and I have to hold it for the three minutes or so of toasting. Highly annoying. It happened so infrequently that I've just dealt with it, since we only use it maybe once or twice a week. It's happening almost all the time now, so I will either contact KitchenAid, or buy a cheap toaster. It's too bad because it's really cute, but very frustrating to use. I love KitchenAid appliances, but wouldn't buy another toaster from them.

Throughout my adult life, I remember my siblings and I laughing at my parents for constantly buying new toasters. One after another their toasters gave up the ghost, toasting only one side of the morning's slices, and off my step-father would go to the store to get a new one. Ever frugal, the next new one would soon be on the fritz. These toasters were clearly products of planned obsolescence. Now that I am a bit of an old coot myself, and my own chain of toasters is getting pretty long, I decided to purchase not the cheapest, but what might be expected to be the BEST. it's KitchenAid after all.

So far so good, works like a dream, fast even toasting on BOTH sides ...Amazing! I love it.
