The design is clean and attractive, which was important to me because there are a lot of ugly ones out there. Although the cool-touch exterior was not a selling point for me, I can confirm that it indeed does not get hot on the outside. Lastly, I was surprised and pleased to find that it has a grounded plug.
This is a nice toaster, but my buyer's remorse is setting in. It is very large (perhaps because it is well insulated and stays cool to the touch), so be prepared to make room for it. If you like to cover your appliances, realize that the selections are more limited at this size.
The performance is no better than a previous midrange-priced unit we had, and I agree with some reviewers that it seems to dry out the item being toasted. Our previous toaster claimed some kind of a moisture sensor.
I am not a big fan of stainless, and these surfaces are pretty demanding.
Overall, a cheaper unit would probably have worked just as well.

It works okay but it does not toast evenly with the tops brown or even burned and the bottoms only slightly toasted. Read morePublished 8 months ago by Dennis L. Pollet
Toasters can be quirky. This one toasts evenly on both sides and consistently day to day. Because of my wife's gluten sensitivity, get the left side and she get the right side.Published 10 months ago by J. C. Nicholas
