Product Description

Amazon.com Review

This flexible, 9-1/2-inch-long spatula bends with your food, not against it, so you won't end up mangling the delicate omelet you're trying to flip. The 4-by-5-inch head has rounded corners and tapered edges to slide easily underneath the widest of pancakes. Because it's constructed from highly heat-resistant silicone, this turner won't melt if you leave it propped up against a skillet, and it won't scratch or otherwise harm your beloved nonstick pans. The KitchenAid logo even doubles as a spatula rest, so you can place the turner up against the rim of a pan without it sliding in. With its cheery chrome accents and convenient hanging loop, this turner will brighten your kitchen even as it stays within arm's reach. --Mary Park

Product Description

Sliding under a fragile pancake you need a turner that has gently curved edges and a wide head, with just the right amount of bend vs. resistance. You also want a turner capable of effortlessly lifting weightier foods like an oversized burger. Thanks to its remarkable heat-resistance you can leave it resting against the skillet without melting it. Durable, good looking, and designed with both function and comfort in mind, this tool coordinates with your red KitchenAid appliances.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!, March 18, 2005

This is the best spatula I have ever owned, and I have owned entirely too many. It is strong and wide and slightly curved at the front edge to fit my pans. The front edge is also nice and thin so it slides right under any food. And it cleans up like magic-no holes for junk to get stuck in. And you can rest it right on the skillet without it melting or lay it on the counter because the handle is curved in such a manner as to keep the head from resting on the countertop. Seriously-the best spatula ever.

1.0 out of 5 stars Looks great, will drive you nuts, not a great product, June 6, 2004

I bought the whole Kitchenaid utensil series because it looked so cool with my kitchen. Problem is, unless you are using very big and deep pots, the handles are too heavy and end up "flipping" out of the pot or pan. They are not balanced. The handle end is very heavy in proportion to the "business" end of the spatula. What ends up happening is that they keep falling out and making a mess on stoves and countertops. They do look good, and even over time haven't seemed to fade. But it really will drive you nuts everytime it happens. If they were about 2" shorter it probably wouldn't be a problem, be sure to note that these are Loooonnnnggg utensils.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too much handle, February 23, 2007

I agree with the other comments regarding the handle being too big and heavy compared to the rest of the turner. I find it is awkward to use because of the bend in the design and thickness of the handle. It works okay for flipping burgers but not for frying eggs, the flipper portion is just too thick. I also own a couple of the matching spatulas, another disadvantage of having the thick handles is that they take up WAY too much room in the drawer. I have bought a couple of W&S red spatulas and I LOVE them, I am planning to replace all of my kitchenaid eventually.
