Easy to use and good looking.

I've had others where even on low it was boiling the food and cooking way to fast.

I can't say enough good things about this slow cooker. After many years of a basic model (trusty, still worked etc.), I decided to upgrade to a programmable so my food would stop overcooking since I am out at work for 12 hours. First try was the Crockpot model - disaster! Shut off early and I came home to raw food. I didn't want to spend $200+ (Breville, Cuisinart, Emeril etc.) and sought one with high marks. This Kitchenaid was my next try, based on my good experience with the brand's other appliances. I was a bit nervous since there were no reviews anywhere for it but I took the leap. Great decision! I love it! Easy to use, perfect cooking temp, nice looking too. Highly recommended!

This is by far the best one I have ever owned. I have not used it much, but it cooks the food well and in the time recommended. It does not overheat or underheat. It has a very good thermastat. And cleaning the inner piece is no problem at all. Nothing seems to stick to it. I realize that it costs more than most; but it is worth every cent. If you can afford this one, get it. You won't be sorry.

I was given this product as a Christmas gift, and I must say, it delivers. However, after 14 months of use, the product developed a small crack down the side of the ceramic insert (and no, I didn't drop it or otherwise abuse it). One year and 8 months after I received it, I can no longer use it. Since I have not read any other comments identifying a similar problem, and I have otherwise been very satisfied, I will try to order a replacement liner, or replace the unit. Maybe with a longer service life this time.

My wife and I have had a great experience with the KitchenAid 6-qt Slow Cooker. It is very easy to use and clean, the ceramic pot and lid can be taken directly to the table, and the size is just what we needed (you can fit a full lamb leg bone-in into it).
I'd certainly recommend this product.

Unfortunately, this product boils rather than slow cooking food - and that is on the low setting. I have several Kitchenaid appliances, and all of them work beautifully with the exception of this slow cooker. It looks great and is easy to use, but is not calibrated correctly. Several tried-and-true recipes came out terribly because it is literally boiling food rather than slow cooking it. Very disappointing.

After trying (and returning) two slow cookers by a different manufacturer, this one worked as promised and cooked my dinner in the appropriate time. I like the option of 3 temperature settings (high, medium, low) instead of 2 (high, low). It's a good size and stores easily in my kitchen.

I was so excited when my husband bought my this crockpot. It's huge-which is great when cooking for a large family or group. But the insert cracks. For no reason. I'm on my 3rd insert and I'm not buying them anymore. It's $60 for a replacement insert! I think I'll use my money on a new one that actually doesn't break.
