The dish washer safe, 5-quart polished stainless steel bowl with ergonomic handle is big enough to handle large batches of heavy mixtures. Its ergonomically designed handle is contoured to fit the hand and makes lifting the bowl more comfortable.
I've wanted a KitchenAid mixer since I was a little girl, and was really happy to see that Amazon.com carried it in stock.
As this was my first major purchase off of Amazon.com, and I was a little hestitant at first... But when the empire red Pro series one showed up in my gold box, I figured I should go ahead and get it. Between the $10 gold box coupon, the $25 off from the May sale, and other little kickbacks, I ended up only paying $170ish for it. Which is a lot cheaper than the department stores, and you don't have to lug it home. (NOTE: DON'T have it sent to your work address unless you have to, and if you're taking the bus home, forget about it!)
Since I signed up for Amazon PRIME (3 months free trial, thank you very much) I had my mixer sent 2-day air and didn't pay a dime for shipping. Score!
What the product images don't show you (which I found out) is that it comes with all your usual accessories - the flat beater, spiral dough hook and wire whip. These didn't come in white, but the ugly raw aluminum. It also came with the plastic guard, which isn't posted on the product description anywhere.
The machine is strong, durable and was able to deal with heavy doughs, whipped cream and even creating yummy tuna salad. It's easy to use, although since it's not tiltable it's kinda awkward when you're trying to take the bowl out. I would suggest buying another mixing bowl, so you can do more than one thing at once. I know a lot of people have to scrape the bowl to make sure everything is mixed properly, but I didn't have that problem at all.
A tip though: If the mixer seems like its banging against one side, you need to fix it pronto. Mine did that, since I didn't push the bowl down flush... So make sure it's not tilted at all.
Overall, I LOVE it. More to come as I put my KitchenAid mixer to use.

I don't know how I baked before our wonderful relatives went in on this beauty for our wedding! Even the smaller models were so expensive, it seemed selfish to register for. Besides, I had egg beaters... Right?
My husband and I use this at least 2-3 times/week, and some weeks every day! It makes baking and cooking with children at your feet so much easier.
Our only gripe is that the top doesn't tip back to get the mixing attachment out of the way, making it impossible to get the attachment off and out of the bowl without it swiping your mixture. Not a big deal, and with our use, I'm sure we'll have this until we're old and grey!
