3.0 out of 5 stars This is a COMPACT Toaster! Small Slots!
This is an adorable toaster and would have been a perfect companion for our antique pink stove, BUT it has slots that are so short that a regular-sized slice of bread will barely fit. Sourdough or rye would be impossible.
We are returning the toaster and are disappointed to discover that the only other two-slot toaster available, the Cuisinart, is also a compact...

1.0 out of 5 stars Received a dud!, May 4, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: KitchenAid KTT340PK 2-Slot 2-Slice Toaster, Cook for the Cure Komen Foundation Pink (Kitchen)
I am glad this product worked for others, but I must have been sent a dud. I tried to use it for the first time and the lever would not stay in the locked position. The LED lights were not functioning and then to add insult to injury, the cheap pink handle popped off! I did all of the trouble shooting and it is definitely the toaster. It would heat up while I was holding the handle down, but it wouldn't stay down. I am returning this and will not order another. Even if it would have functioned, the cheap handle keeps popping off. Also, it just feels cheaply made. My previous toaster was a Cuisinart. I will be purchasing one of those instead. The one good thing I can say is that it is a very pretty pink toaster. That is it. Good luck.

I was sent a dud also, as soon as i opened the box the toaster was broken at the seam & the pink lever fell off without even pushing it down, very cheaply made, can't believe it's a kitchen aid, very disappointed

1.0 out of 5 stars Falls Apart, May 8, 2010
This review is from: KitchenAid KTT340PK 2-Slot 2-Slice Toaster, Cook for the Cure Komen Foundation Pink (Kitchen)
Purchased this toaster because we had Kitchenaid in the past and was happy with their product. Have had this one now for two months and have to be careful when you pick it up as the outer plastic shell seperates, top from the bottom and the lever handle falls off. Working with Kitchenaid now to get a replacement, but not betting on it being any better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best toaster ever!, August 23, 2007
This review is from: KitchenAid KTT340PK 2-Slot 2-Slice Toaster, Cook for the Cure Komen Foundation Pink (Kitchen)
For those of us who like pink, this toaster is so adorable and a great addition to the kitchen. It's light pink, a very nice pink. It works great and it just looks great. I never thought I would love having a toaster so much, but it is just so pretty and makes my kitchen look pink and happy!

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst. Toaster. Ever., March 3, 2011
This review is from: KitchenAid KTT340PK 2-Slot 2-Slice Toaster, Cook for the Cure Komen Foundation Pink (Kitchen)
It's cute, but it toasts unevenly, and even the darkest setting is not very dark. For the price and given the quality of the other KitchenAid appliances I have, I expected a lot better.

It is a quality toaster, no doubt about it. I suppose the pink color is a bonus. I scored this here on Amazon.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cook For The Cure?, August 5, 2008
This review is from: KitchenAid KTT340PK 2-Slot 2-Slice Toaster, Cook for the Cure Komen Foundation Pink (Kitchen)
Having bought EVERY pink item in the last several months. I was dismayed to discover that none of the money was going to CFTC just because I had bought them. Seems that in VERY small print on the hang tag, there is a disclaimer. You have to go online and register the product. Only then will KitchenAid fork over the Money...... Yes for something as small as a set of measuring cups or a knife, you have to register.

Of course I discovered this long after I had thrown away the hang tags. So I went to LOWES and wrote down the UPC from the items they still stocked there. They were out of several items I have and didn't know if they were getting any more. So now I am off to the mall kitchen store. Wish me luck. Oh and SAVE those hang tags.

I am posting this same complaint on every kitchenaid item at amazon
