5.0 out of 5 stars High-end tool, August 11, 2002

This review is from: KitchenAid Large Pizza Wheel, Black (Kitchen)
This cutter is about as good as it gets in the consumer market. I've used professional pizza cutters before, and the KitchenAid version is every bit as sturdy and twice as refined. It has two blade supports (most only have one) and a soft gasket on each side of the blade to minimize wobbling under pressure. The ability to tighten the wheel support is nice, because other cutters I have used loosened over time. The plastic blade guard is a nice touch because it keeps your other utensils from being scratched during storage. The handle design goes beyond the call of duty.

5.0 out of 5 stars the best pizza cutter, December 17, 2003
This review is from: KitchenAid Large Pizza Wheel, Black (Kitchen)
How many pizza cutters have you bought? Likely more than you wanted to, because they just did not last. They were dull, tranished etc. This is perfect, stay sharp cutters, dishwasher safe and will last and last. I like the finger guard. Nice safety touch. For serious pizza families this is a must!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The only cutter I'll use in my pizza shop, November 17, 2005

This review is from: KitchenAid Large Pizza Wheel, Black (Kitchen)
I have been using this cutter for one full year in my pizza shop, and it's the only one I'll use. I've never even had to sharpen it, and we cut on aluminum pans all the time. We cut anywhere from 100 to 400 pizzas every day with this cutter. It's the best out there!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nothing Better Than KitchenAid!!, November 25, 2003

KitchenAid is simply the best appliance/kitchen tool maker, bar none. I've cut pizza with other wheels, knives, all sorts of things. Nothing comes close to the cut you get from the KitchenAid pizza wheel! The wheel is nice and big, which keeps your hand farther from hot pizza and steam. It's also super sharp, so it cuts perfectly!! Also, it comes with a nice plastic cover so that when you store it in a drawer, you won't go cutting yourself when you dig around for it! Ingenious! :D I highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid, sharp wheel replaces scissors or knives and has a great protective sleeve, December 28, 2005

This review is from: KitchenAid Large Pizza Wheel, Black (Kitchen)
This pizza wheel is heavy-duty and feels very solid in your hand. It's sharp enough to cut through a very hard/crunchy crust, and you don't have to worry about it skidding off the pizza.

An added bonus is that the protective sleeve extends about 1/4-inch beyond the wheel to protect the entire rim of the wheel. It fits snugly and won't slide off in the drawer. (The pictures don't show this very well and give the appearance that the sleeve covers only half the wheel--but rest assured it's better than that.) If you prefer to hang your utensils, there's a large hole for hanging at the end of the handle.

This wheel may cost a bit more than others, but it's worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars It cuts pizza better than ANY other cutter I've had!, November 10, 2006
This review is from: KitchenAid Large Pizza Wheel, Black (Kitchen)
No matter what color handle you buy this in, BUY IT! It is the BEST pizza cutter that my husband and I have ever had. It's easy to hold and handle, and you do NOT have to use your body weight to cut through any thickness like some cutters that we have had. You also do NOT have to go back and forth over the pizza several times like other cutters, one or two times usually does it. Make sure, though, that you put the protective cover over the blade when you are putting it away; it stays sharp washing after washing, and you don't want to bump your hand against it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Pizza Wheel Available, November 28, 2005
This review is from: KitchenAid Large Pizza Wheel, Black (Kitchen)
I bought one of these for myself and liked it so much I had to buy one for my parent's kitchen so I could cut Mom's veggie pizza. This is the biggest cutting wheel you can find and SHARP! No more dragging toppings across your pizza as you cut it! This wheel will practically clear Mt. Everest leaving all of your toppings where they're supposed to be. Pepperoni is sliced, not smushed and drug along. Pile on the toppings if you have this one - it can handle it.

Make sure it has the metal tip on the end of the handle with the hole - Kitchenaid is unfornately getting cheap and is skimping on product quality as many of the Kitchenaid feedbacks indicate.

Is this thing supposed to be for professionals? No more rocking the cutter back and forth to cut all the way through the pizza. This monster works very well. I literally tossed out my old pizza cutter after trying this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars The last cutter you'll ever buy..., December 9, 2003
This review is from: KitchenAid Large Pizza Wheel, Black (Kitchen)
Fantastic, sturdy & The Hummer of Pizza cutters. After wasting gobs of money on junk Pizza wheel cutters for years, I broke down & bought this gem over a year ago. It is as sharp & perfect as the day I bought it after dozens & dozens of pizza cuts. Totally dishwasher safe, sharp & cuts perfectly every time, unlike our last OXO. Don't hesitate; this is the only one to buy; just like their PERFECT can opener & nearly everything else that Kitchenaid makes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Now That's a Pizza Wheel!, November 4, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: KitchenAid Large Pizza Wheel, Black (Kitchen)
After whizzing over the same spot over and over trying to cut pizza with other pizza wheels, I finally resorted to just cutting the pizza with my chef's knife. Then I found this! It is just as sharp as my knife and goes through pizza or focaccia like it's cutting butter. It's heavy and sturdy so you won't have to worry about pressing to hard on it. This is truly a good buy with the blade protector being an added bonus.
