Product Description

With a thick stainless-steel blade beveled to a sharp edge, this sturdy wheel-type cutter rolls through pizza, fudge, lasagna, and other foods, dividing them into neat serving portions. The cutter has a finger guard and a stylish, enamel-like handle. It's made of 18/8 stainless steel polished to a mirror finish and is dishwasher-safe. The wheel is 3 inches in diameter; overall, the cutter is 8 inches long. (KitchenAid also makes a larger version of the cutter, with a 4-inch-diameter wheel. This smaller wheel is easier for small-handed cooks and children, but it doesn't cut quite as quickly as the larger model.) KitchenAid says the first year of the cutter's lifetime warranty against defects is "hassle-free," with a replacement shipped at no cost and without question if a defect is detected. --Fred Brack

Product Description

Believe it or not, Pizza in Italy is quite different from what we eat in the USA. Pizza has evolved here to match our varied ecclectic tastes, accommodating the desires of the many and catering to the tastes of the few. A tasty way to get carbs, veggies, cheese (Calcium), and (sometimes) meats, it's a virtual survival food - perhaps the best of the fast foods - a meal itself. Whether you prepare it yourself or have it delivered, this Pizza Wheel from KitchenAid assures that each slice is neatly cut for comfort and enjoyment. So whether its pizza or focaccia, this wheel is ready for you.

If you buy one thing from kitchenaid, this should be it. This thing is absolutely amazing. It fits your hand like a glove and is really manly. Ive had it for a couple months and it hasnt changed a bit. The blade is stainless and will never become dull. But!!!! What is truely amazing, and what makes this one different from all the other disk pizza cutter out there is the way the blade meets the handle. First of all, its not a cheap rivet like all the others. It has a real screw and locking nut that allows you to adjust the wobble/torque so to can have a real solid non wobeling blade! it has two plastic spacers in between the posts that also allow pizza grease to pass between the posts and not get stuck. And!! there is the blade guard that protects you fingers should you decide to go ninja fighting with this tool. The plastic guard is cool for shipping but not very useable. Its a knife! put it in the knife drawer and forget the protector. Oh man and the cuts it makes! Glides through pizza like a plane through a cloud. I absolutely love this tool and I know you will too.

The cutter works awesome, but the screw that holds the blade is rusting after just a few months.

It says it is dishwasher safe and I still use it, but I CANNOT recommend a product that rusts.

I've contacted Kitchen-Aid support, but have not heard back yet. If they correct this I will re-evaluate.

I just love this pizza cutter. Very well know brand that I have other applinances from. It is very sturdy and washes up well. The wheel doesn't wobble when you use it. I dont just use it as a pizza cutter. If I'm making home made noodles, I use it to cut the noodles, I use it to cut fudge, and I'm sure there are many more uses that I have not come across yet. Buy this pizza cutter and you will not go wrong!! I love mine!!!!

I worked at a pizza place for a few years and I wish they had cutters this nice. This has a nice heft to it, and best of all is the finger cover, which helps prevent you from slicing your index finger and spinning hot sauce onto your knuckles.

This beautiful cutter is the Rolls Royce of pizza cutters. It is built like a tank. I have broken several other brands. The #1 problem is they don't support the blade on both sides.

I have honestly cut hundreds of pizzas with this cutter. We make a lot of pizza so it is one of my favorite kitchen tools. People love to hold it, they are always marveling how nice it feels.

Most importantly, it will cut the hardest crusts cleanly and with ease.

I'm not often excited when I buy a kitchen utensil but this KitchenAid Pizza Wheel/Cutter is about as good as it gets. As soon as I opened the box and removed the cutter from the packaging, I was in love. It had the most substantial, in the hand feel that I've ever experienced with a pizza cutter. I should mention that I worked in a pizza shop for several years and we had cutters with 4" wheels and wooden handles. They were OK but this is even better. The wheel itself is super sharp and substantial. It's not going to ever go out of round. What is also overlooked in the majority of pizza cutters on the market is the lack of nut to tighten the blade if need be. Most cutters uses a cheap rivet to hold the wheel and they eventually loosen up causing the blade to wobble. Not so with the KitchenAid pizza wheel... it has a nut that can be tightened when necessary.

The handle is nicely designed with a finger guard on the bottom and a nice indentation for your thumb to rest on the top. It is solid and heavy, both good qualities to have when slicing through a thick or crispy crust.

KitchenAid used to make this cutter with a 4" wheel. It does not seem to be available any more. I'd have preferred to buy a 4" wheel pizza cutter since it makes cutting the pizza a bit more efficient but I'm not complaining. This 3" wheel excels since it has the sharpness and heft to get the job done.

You can pay nearly as much for a vastly inferior pizza cutter. Why not just get the best one right off the bat? With proper care it will surely last for years and years.

I love KitchenAid but several of their products I've purchased have rusted on certain parts of the product. Like this pizza cutter...its a great cutter, cuts every pizza and even other items with ease. However the screw that holds the blade to the handle is all rusted. Its only like 3 months old, I've followed washing directions exactly. Kinda gross. But it still cuts. Wish they could fix that problem though. Otherwise a good product.
