This is one spatula you won't find melted up against the side of the stove. Heat resistant to 500 degrees F, it's crafted from a sturdy silicone that won't scratch or scrape nonstick cooking surfaces. The 7-1/2-inch handle allows you to get a good grip, while an elongated, flexible blade makes it easy to scrape the last drop of batter from the flat bottom and deep sides of a typical mixing bowl. (Whatever you do, don't tell the kids you'll be using it; they might just go on strike.) Great spatula for the stand mixer bowls. Gets almost everything out of the bowl, unlike every other one I have tried. Haven't had it long enough to know if it will fall apart down the road yet. It is my favorite of the 7 or 8 I own.

I love most Kitchen Aid products and this is one of them. I've never tried using it with hot items, though....afraid to melt it. Who knows, it might survive just fine.
