The font and text on the panel is different than the text/font on their architect II microwave.

A KitchenAid repairman came out to take a look and said it needed a new fan but that it was no longer under warranty.

They replaced the whole unit which lasted another 6 months and then the microwave stopped working again!!

1. The image is not accurate for this item. The oven door windows do not extend to the width of the control panel. The color of the clock display is a dingy blue green color that does not match the bright white display on the architect II microwave. The font and text on the panel is different than the text/font on their architect II microwave.

2. Does not include a broiler pan, broiler grid or roasting rack although these parts are included and required for proper usage according to their manual.

3. There is no trim kit or lip to cover any gap on either side of this oven, whatever gap remains is visible from the front.

4. I contacted kitchenaid and they refused to provide a broiler pan, grid and roasting rack as shown in the manual.

This is the worst product ever!! Kitchen Aide had the worst customer service. We bought the product for over $2200. It never worked right. When service came out they said the magnetron in the microwave was ready to explode. They "fixed" it and about 2 months later it just stopped working. They replaced the whole unit which lasted another 6 months and then the microwave stopped working again!! When I called they said it was out of warranty. In my beautiful remodeled kitchen I now have a totally useless built in microwave that doesn't work and a Wal-Mart $50 microwave hidden in the closet !! Never again!!!

I gave it one start because I couldn't give in 0!

Bought this oven just over a year ago. The fan has always made an unbearably loud noise that sounds like an engine running, and it last for almost 45 minutes after the oven is turned off. So, we barely ever used it. Over the holidays, the noise suddenly became louder, as though the fan was banging something. A KitchenAid repairman came out to take a look and said it needed a new fan but that it was no longer under warranty. To replace the fan would cost more than half for what we paid in total for the oven. The repairman said under his breath not to spend the money to fix it it as these ovens are known to have major problems. He suggested swallowing the money we spent and purchasing a better quality oven with a good warranty.

Do not buy this oven. It has major problems and defects and KitchenAid will do nothing.

Do not buy this. The self clean function melts fuses. Today the interior door glass exploded during the self clean cycle spraying glass all over our kitchen. They will not pay for parts or offer any explanation as to why this could have happened. I will be buying a new double oven by another manufacturer instead of risking my kids being burned or cut by flying glass if it happens again.
