5.0 out of 5 stars Great flexibility for smaller families
I have had this dishwasher over a year now and have not had any problems with it. While this unit is a little more expensive then a conventionally sized unit that we were also considering, we opted for this unit because we have a small family and it would take us several days to fill up and run a full size dishwasher. With the dish drawer, we can usually run a load each...

1.0 out of 5 stars Please DO NOT BUY
Bought this from a vendor. Installed a week later. First noticed it did not dry. Lots of water left in the machine. Does not go away unless you leave the door open for a few days. If you leave it closed it begins to smell. Then I noticed it left spots and did not clean. KitchenAid suggested service. The service arrived 2 weeks later to tell me it was working fine. That...

That was as good as it gets. I tried to live with it another week and ended up hand washing al the dishes. Now over 30 day since it was purchased I am stuck. KitchenAid, offers no answers other than suggested amounts of detergent. I am out the money, will have to get a new model and put this one on the curb. A very expensive lesson. I should have done better research. I provide this review so you will not have the same experience.

1.0 out of 5 stars Love the idea.....BUT, August 22, 2010
This review is from: Kitchenaid KUDH03DTSS Double Drawer Dishwasher 5 Cycles/3 Cycle Options Architect Series II
We eat out a lot and like to run small loads in the dishwasher. sadly though this very high end and expensive dishwasher has broken 2x in 3 years.it is the actuators that lower the top seal down. it costs $750 with parts and labor to fix. next time, its going in the garbage and we're buying a workhorse. Honestly, for a lightly used machine it really stinks. Love the idea....too bad its a lemon. I have read dozens and dozens of stories about this machine on line, so apparently we're not the only ones who have had problems.

1.0 out of 5 stars Tossing this dishwasher TOMORROW!, January 4, 2011
This review is from: Kitchenaid KUDH03DTSS Double Drawer Dishwasher 5 Cycles/3 Cycle Options Architect Series II
I bought this kitchenaid dishwasher for my new house - i did little research (until now).
It has cleaned VERY POORLY since day one! We've had the service guys out that blame it on the dishwashing liquid...
We switch liquid and no luck! Bottom line - this dishwasher just doesn't clean very well, and always leaves dishes needing a wipe down, rub, or REWASH!
Very disappointing buy - I will be replacing it ASAP!

1.0 out of 5 stars TERRIBLE - DO NOT BUY, April 19, 2012
This review is from: Kitchenaid KUDH03DTSS Double Drawer Dishwasher 5 Cycles/3 Cycle Options Architect Series II
THIS MODEL LOOKS BEAUTIFUL AND WE PURCHASED IT BECAUSE WE HAVE FEW DISHES ON A DAILY BASIS. OUR THOUGHT WAS THAT INSTEAD OF LEAVING DISHES ACCUMULATE OVER SEVERAL DAYS, THIS MODEL WOULD FUNCTIONALLY WORK PERFECTLY FOR SMALL LOADS ON A DAILY BASIS. ALSO, OUR ELDERLY MOTHER LIVES WITH US, AND WE DECIDED IT WOULD BE EASIER FOR HER TO LOAD AND UNLOAD IT. THE BAD NEWS IS THAT IT CLEANS VERY POORLY, ESPECIALLY IF THE DRAWER(S) ARE FULL. IT RUNS FOR 6-7 HOURS AND WE ALMOST ALWAYS HAVE TO HAND WASH SOME OF THE DISHES AFTERWARD. ALSO, REGULAR SIZE PLATES BARELY FIT IN, AS WELL AS POTS AND PANS. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT USING IT FOR LARGE AND VERY DIRTY LOADS, SUCH AS ON HOLIDAYS LIKE THANKSGIVING, OR WHEN HAVING COMPANY. ALSO IT LEAVES SPOTS TOO. (WE HAND WASH DISHES EVERY DAY) WE HAD SERVICE OUT SEVERAL TIMES, AND THEY TOLD US THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT!! WE INCREASED OUR WATER TEMPERATURE AND CHANGED TO LIQUID DETERGENT,WE ALSO RUN THE HOT WATER FOR SEVERAL MINUTES BEFORE TURNING IT ON, BUT THE DISHES STILL DO NOT GET CLEAN AND IT RUNS "FOREVER". THERE IS OFTEN FOOD LEFT LAYING IN THE BOTTOM AS WELL. WE CONTACTED KITCHENAID'S CONSUMER OFFICE, AND WE BASICALLY GOT THE RUN AROUND FOR MANY MONTHS, AND THEY DID EVERYTHING TO BLOW US OFF. THEY STOOD FIRM THAT THE DISHWASHER IS WORKING PROPERLY, IGNORING OUR PLEAS ABOUT THE DISHES NOT GETTING CLEAN!! WE ARE STUCK WITH THIS HEADACHE, BUT WILL TRY TO WORK WITH CONSUMER PROTECTION TO SEE WHAT CAN BE DONE. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO BE STUCK WITH A $1200. DISHWASHER THAT DOES NOT WORK CORRECTLY. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER!! YOU WILL BE SORRY.

1.0 out of 5 stars don't know how this design can't not leak, April 14, 2011
This review is from: Kitchenaid KUDH03DTSS Double Drawer Dishwasher 5 Cycles/3 Cycle Options Architect Series II
I repair equipment for my job (admittedly not dishwashers but most repair people will tell you the basics in diagnosis are the same). We developed a leak after about a year when a bezel (looks like a round vent cover) broke one of 2 in each drawer the very hard brittle plastic bezel is the only thing that holds the seal in place also the fan housing breaks that it attaches to I took a bezel from the bottom drawer luckily there are 2 but then that one broke the next day I finally gave up and had a professional guy come out and he broke another bezel then proceeded to tell me it would be 350.00 to fix it the way it came from the factory which means it will leak again.
