Plus, to inspire the imagination still further, there's a collection of kites displayed in 16 pages of high-flying colour.

Editorial Reviews

From School Library Journal

YA-- An attractive book that explores kite flying basics from instruction to construction for novices as well as advanced aficionados. "Trefoil Dragon," "Pterosaur," "Stone Mountain," "Yakko Stakk" are the fanciful names for these magical creations of imagination and delicate engineering. The book is a good addition for high-school libraries because it provides technical material in such varied subject areas as art, science, and math. A history of kite flying is included, as well as detailed diagrams for specific designs of increasing difficult skill level. Eden provides thorough appendixes: lists of kite clubs, events and festivals, stunt kiting organizations, as well as a bibliography and index. --Jenni Elliott, Episcopal High School, Bellaire, TX

This book is an ok book, but is a little confusing... I found that the drawings did not explain how to build the kites very well Intermediate-Advanced kite makers would love this book!!!
