This is a excellent timer: it's easy to use; has a large, clear display; times two events either up (like a stopwatch) or down (more useful in the kitchen); and has a digital clock that displays the time, including seconds.

In addition to the magnet on the back, there's a place to hook a lanyard (not included) for carrying around. Its battery (CR2032) is easily available and inexpensive--at least if bought here at Amazon.

I'm completely happy with it.

I have been searching for a timer that beeps five minutes before time is up and none advertise that feature--this model included--but not only does this timer beep twice at five minutes, it beeps once at ten minutes before time is up. It also has two individual timers for two different dishes.

It's easy to read and the magnet allows the timer to lie flat against whatever it's stuck to, so you can easily change the time with one hand--making for less chance to drop it. The timer has a two-level volume button and high-volume beep is loud enough to hear from the next room with the TV on. It can be set up to 99 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds. It takes a watch-type battery, so it should last quite a while. Initial set up (for the clock) is NOT intuitive and the directions are a little confusing. Nonetheless, I'm glad I bought it and would buy it again.
