Wonderful book, our year old loves the pictures and being able to touch the kittens. She also likes the large cardboard pages that she can easily turn.

My son is crazy about cats and picked this book out for himself. He loves the pictures and the textures, especially the rough cat tongue page. He's also fond of Touch and Feel Farm Animals.

I bought this book for my daughter when she's nine months old. Now six weeks later she still smiles with delight everytime I take it out for her. Besides exploring the different textures, she's fascinated with the cutout on the cover that shows the kitten's fur. Although she likes her other books, normally she's too impatient to sit through reading a whole book, but this book I have to read to her two or three times before she would let me take it away. I will definitely buy other touch and feel series. I feel that they are a terrific introduction to get her to love books.

When my 1 yr. 9 mo. old daughter first saw this book, she screamed in delight. She found the kittens gorgoues not to mention the "touch parts" very interesting. I, myself, have to admit that I only discovered how rough a cat's tough is after reading the book with my daughter.I am eagerly anticipating for the other touch & feel books ordered through the Net.

Fun to touch for the littlest ones,

Babies and toddlers will enjoy touching different textures-- kitten fur, metal tag, plastic bowl, straw basket, scratchy kitten tongue.A sturdy plaything for children. Brief tactile fun and clear, stark, cute photos.

For kitten-lovers,

If your children love cats, then this book will soon be one of their favorites. If not, then opt for one of the other "Touch and Feel" books, like Bathtime, Pets, or Farm, which include a variety of pictures. The textures in this book include fur, sandpaper (kitten's tongue), plastic (food bowl), and weaved basket.

Our little boy really enjoys the touch and feel series, and this is a good one, especially since he likes cats!He loves the rough tongue of one cat, and the shiny tag on another. The little kitten in a wicker basket, but then you find two whole pages taken with a cat and his "hard yellow food bowl." ?? Couldn't DK, a publishing house with some really incredible books out there, have thought of a better one than that? Still, the cat is cute, even if the bowl texture is boring. And one page doesn't ruin a book (though it's a short book!) I can still recommend this one enthusiastically, especially if your little one is a cat or animal lover!

At 10 months my daughter became fascinated with our house cat but he wouldn't sit around long enough for her to poke at him so we decided to get her the next best thing -- touch & feel books! This one features a white furry chest, pink rough tongue, smooth shiny tag, hard yellow bowl & scratchy straw basket -- only 2 are actually cat textures. I think they should've done one with the cat's whiskers, like in the other Touch & Feel book: Pets. Or one of the cat's padded paws would be nice too... My daughter skips right over the yellow bowl & shiny tag pages.

Our daughter likes this book quite a bit, especially when the real cats come swarming all over us during reading time. Trying to get the real cats to reenact the adventures of Pepper & Pickle is perhaps not the best idea I have ever had, although Helen appeared to be amused.
