5.0 out of 5 stars Some great music! You'll be tappin' your toe!
I was sitting home in cold Northern New Hampshire talking to my girlfriend on the phone... for background music I was listening to New Zealand National Radio on the Internet.

Will talking away, I heard this cool band doing "Going Up Country", the old Canned Heat Tune. I told Peggy I would have to call her back, because I missed the name of the band on Radio...

1.0 out of 5 stars Really???
I heard OF Kitty, Daisy and Lewis before I actually heard them. I thought, "Oh, cool! Youngsters playing MY type of music."
Then I heard it.

Yes, I know they are very young, but still... I've heard a lot of brilliant young singers and musicians in my time. These kids, to me, do not fall into this category.

They have decent taste in songs, but...

I was sitting home in cold Northern New Hampshire talking to my girlfriend on the phone... for background music I was listening to New Zealand National Radio on the Internet.

Will talking away, I heard this cool band doing "Going Up Country", the old Canned Heat Tune. I told Peggy I would have to call her back, because I missed the name of the band on Radio NZ, I got on the net and called Radio New Zealand immediately, and discovered this UK band.

They're a lot of fun, glad to see young folks performing and putting their on spin on things. (Another great band is Belleville Outfit!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Holy Tomatoes, These Cats Swing!!, August 23, 2008

This review is from: Kitty, Daisy and Lewis (Audio CD)
First off, what a FANTASTIC brother & sister trio!! (Mom & Pop are featured as well) These 10 tracks reminisce through many facets within the music genera, country, swing, 50's rock & even a couple of very likable Hawaiian tunes as well. I am shocked & in love with this new captured sound these cats put out, each song is sung from the heart & along with that comes SOUL. Each song has its own individuality, there is not one bad song on this CD & worth every penny. As a DJ I can honestly say these cats are going places!! Keep us swingin' cats with your hip grooves!! Schroeder (DJ WACK "O") of Orbital Traxx Records & Cult Movies Magazine

My ratings for each track.

1. Going Up The Country (FANTASTIC)
2. Buggin' Blues (I was bit by the bug & had to dance)
3. Polly Put The Kettle On (This song puts out the steam)
4. Honolulu Rock A Roll A (Catchy & very dancable)
5. I Got My Mojo Working (This song has its MOJO surely working)
6. Mean Son Of A Gun (This song will pistol wip you Daddy O)
7. Hillbilly Music (Rockin' country)
8. Mohair Sam (Amazing)
9. Ooo Wee (Some more amazing)
10. Swinging Hawaii (FANTASTIC)

5.0 out of 5 stars By chance, I saw them on Late with Jimmy Fallon 8/12, August 15, 2009
This review is from: Kitty, Daisy and Lewis (Audio CD)
and they were amazing! When Daisy starts on the snare (on "Going up the Country")...and later when Kitty went off on the harmonica- mesmerizing!
An awesome family band! I love their retro style and sound.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great old/new music, August 7, 2009
This stuff sounds old, yet fresh. Something very different from the rest of the music that is being put out there today. Kitty and Daisy look very girlish, and when performing, look very cute. They make the band look very tasteful. Lewis looks like a character from the past. A handsome well groomed 50's rock and roll artist. I believe they will go far with their music ambition.

What can a man say. This CD is PURE fun. Outstanding Mojo, Authenticity and Feel. The CD is one good catch tune after another. I am happy to see that someone that young found what Music can be. Good Parents perhaps. God Bless them.

Can't get some of the songs out of my head. Only problem was the shipping. It took over a week from the UK even though shipper is from NY and they said it was in stock.

1.0 out of 5 stars Really???, July 30, 2010
I heard OF Kitty, Daisy and Lewis before I actually heard them. I thought, "Oh, cool! Youngsters playing MY type of music."
Then I heard it.

Yes, I know they are very young, but still... I've heard a lot of brilliant young singers and musicians in my time. These kids, to me, do not fall into this category.

They have decent taste in songs, but the love ends there. Aside from the terrible recording quality, their timing is WAY off, their vocals are way flat, and it just sounds like a bunch of noise to me. It's pretty unbearable. Ann Cole is spinning in her grave I bet, after that terrible rendition of "Got My Mojo Working".

I've been around music my entire life, I collect vintage R&B albums. I'm really immersed into this sort of material. It's my life. I'm pretty sure I know quality music, having worked around some of the top musicians in England/Europe, that perform this sort of music. I'm not being arrogant or mean; just being honest.

1.0 out of 5 stars It's all in the packaging, January 18, 2009
This review is from: Kitty, Daisy and Lewis (Audio CD)
Black-and-white photography, the kids being groomed 50s style, vintage amplifiers and vintage recording equipment -- not just the real thing, but the true, pure, authentic real thing I was being promised.
Naturally, I was tempted, hooked.
But the music is mediocre at best (and not half as retro authentic as Dave Edmunds or Nick Curran), and the girls' singing is amateurish awful.
It's all in the packaging.
